....I'm at a loss as to how the plastic would be melted, but that is just me.

haha, that is great! ever wanna just take a few serious potheads and lock them in a thrift store? promise them large amounts of smoke if they emerge with something creative enough to smoke it out of? The various pipes/bongs/smoking accessories they would emerge with would be amusing for years to come!
