Don't kill them all just yet, you have to season them first.

Hello and welcome :welcome:

Hello all,

Sorry it took me a little while to reply. I didn't even realize there was this introduction thread for me to respond to. Thanks so much for the welcome! So to introduce myself ...

I am a 26 year old male who lives in the Metro Detroit Area where I was born and have lived most of my life (with the exception of a year that I spent in Mexico). I am a graduate of Wayne State University with degrees in English (Literature and Cultural Studies), Romance Languages (Spanish), and Computer Science. I currently work in Information Technology in the automotive industry. I have no children and am not married. I enjoy target shooting, video games, dancing to electronic music -- hence my interest in this board -- and African safaris (just kidding). Some lists of my various cultural tastes can be found here.

I just thought I'd share that I recently got back from Berlin where I had the chance to attend some amazing shows, including one at this bar called K17 (www.k17.de) where it was "all styles of dark music mit DJ Hexx" night. The set mixed songs by Laibach, Das Ich, The Cure, etc. Also got the chance to go to Tresor (www.tresorberlin.de) where I heard some nice Hard Trance/Techno, although I got turned away from the “legendary” Berghain, but whatever. So, this recent trip might give you an idea about where some of my musical tastes lie.

Locally, I've been to City Club a few times, though not that recently.

Anyway, nice to meet all of you ...

Hellooooooooo

Thats a hard name to shorten heh. "G19" i guess? Kinda akward to respond G19WCC every time once you get involved in a conversation. (and of course your going to come back and throw your 2 cents in on some other topics right, right??? heh)

Welcome again,

-Troy

Yeah, is there a shorter easier to remember name we can call you by? Or can we shorten it to just g19 like Troy suggested?

This 👆 definitely goes with what I said in my other post - getting old sucks. Seems like *everything* takes longer and takes more energy out of me than it used to. Really need to work on my diet and exercise, I've found the older I get, the more important those things have really become...

Well we were supposed to leave last night, but life has a way of making plans for you. I'm about to get up and get ready to go on our vacation. Had and still have a lot to do.  Not easy to just up and leave a ranch with a lot of animals and things that need taken care of. We even have people here to watch and tend things while we're gone, but still.   I had to change the radiator in my car before we leave - got that done last night. Took a lot more out of me than I thought it would, so by the time I finished I had little energy for anything else. Today I just have a couple more quick things to do on the car, like cleaning it and packing stuff. Couple of minor things to do around the ranch today, as well.   I figure we should be on the road this evening sometime. I'm looking forward to it. We're going to see the wife's side of the family, people I actually like,  in Vegas and AZ. Should only be gone for a few days, maybe a week. Going to the Grand Canyon and Lake Mead and all kinds of stuff in between, so I'm pretty stoked. I LOVE the Southwest.   Wish me luck that my car survives the desert! (Hence new radiator) 🤠👍

Sometimes sleep can be a scary thing.  I passed out so hard at 4:54pm today.  Yesterday wiped me out with rentals, appointments and helping a lost dog get back home.  Fortunately, I found him on Facebook and contacted the owners and he was picked up before nightfall.  But I think I totally overdid it and paid for it today in the middle of handling business.  Thankfully it was some work at home stuff.   I definitely do not like being that kind of tired.  It's like the World could end and I'd wake up afterwards trying to find out what happened.
