Medea Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 The very laws of physics bend to Jason Bourne's will. If the zombie apocalypse ever happens, I want Jason Bourne and El Ray from Planet Terror on my side.
AntiHero Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 "I never miss." El Wray was awesome. Yeah, Bourne is the shit, saw Ultimatum earlier, however my spy/thriller heroes will always be John Clark and Bob Lee Swagger (Bob The Nailer). "This car is 100% Death Proof, but to get the full effect; you really need to be sitting in my seat."
Troy Spiral (13) Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 I enjoyed the first two films have not seen the third yet. I'd rate them 3 1/2 stars (out of 5)
sass_in_the_pants Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Also, since we're on the subject, when, exactly did Matt Damon get hot? Like, in Good Will Hunting, he was cute, nothing to write home about, but cute. And then WHAM! he's a hottie. How could this have happened without my noticing?
Daevion Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Check out the Departed if ya like matt damon flicks...it kicks ass
LuluVox Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Matt Damon kinda looks old and mush-faced to me. But the movie was decent!
sass_in_the_pants Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Matt Damon kinda looks old and mush-faced to me. But the movie was decent! Hey! You be nice to my pretend boyfriend!
BrassFusion Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 I hope he didn't have plastic surgery. Real guys are always hotter than ken dolls.
LuluVox Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Hey! You be nice to my pretend boyfriend! Hehehe, sorry! Okay, I will say he looked *kinda* cute in The Departed. And the flashback scenes in Ultimatum. But I did think "old and mush-faced" a few times. I think I just don't go for the blond(e) and conventionally attractive types. On a side note, my sister's might-as-well-be-husband gets compared to Matt D.
Msterbeau Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 I've read many of Ludlum's books. The movies pale in comparison. :-P
Troy Spiral (13) Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 He looks "old" ? Seems like a (relatively) young (mid 30s?), in good shape guy to me. For a long time i kept confusing him with that one new kid on the block guy. er.. Donny?
Medea Posted August 8, 2007 Author Posted August 8, 2007 Check out the Departed if ya like matt damon flicks...it kicks ass I know I -must- have told you how much I love that movie, right? Hey! You be nice to my pretend boyfriend! We'll have to share him. And I agree. It just suddenly happened, because I didn't used to think he was that attractive either. I think I first started thinking of him as attractive in Dogma. And the hotness factor has gone up since then. It helps that I like them young-looking. I've read many of Ludlum's books. The movies pale in comparison. :-P I don't care! Matt Damon makes it easier to fantasize.

Medea Posted August 8, 2007 Author Posted August 8, 2007 Maybe haggard is a better word. Tired? Anyway, yeah. Dude... did you SEE the shit he was doing in that movie? Give the man a damned break, he was running from CIA assassins for three years STRAIGHT. I think you wouldn't look as fresh and free either.

Medea Posted August 8, 2007 Author Posted August 8, 2007 Dude, calm down -- I'm just saying the man looks tired! And I'm saying that a man running from CIA and trying to recover his memories doesn't have time for an Energy Drink.

Medea Posted August 8, 2007 Author Posted August 8, 2007 And I'm saying it's just a movie. Blasphemer!
sass_in_the_pants Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 This thread is now the funniest thing I have read in a long time. Carry on.

crunchy_pickle (5) Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 I just went to see the movie tonight. Despite the fact that I think they kinda made him look like a pussy (Jason Bourne not Matt Damon who I'm sure probably is one anyways), I liked the movies. While, no trained killer takes that long to fight even another assassin, it makes for good action I guess. Also, I felt like the punches, blocks, were kinda amateur choreography at best..... Otherwise, I've always loved the Jason Bourne character even if the movies don't do him justice. Worth the watch though....

When have you see two people with equal training in the same style try to kill each other? And a nerd slap fight doesn't count. Though I agree that the choreography might have been a little amateur. But then, we're dealing with speed moves made by an actor (i. e. not an actual trained fighter) and a camera style that doesn't even really allow you a good look at some of the action at times.

I actually used to fight a lot myself, and have a lot of combat training. While, I fought competitively and there are rules and such that prevent a quicker fight, things are much different when no rules apply. No two people military or otherwise have the same exact training anyways unless they have little or no experience going in. Most people that would qualify as an assassin however, have to have a little bit of knowledge in martial arts. You saw the movie, and say nerd slap fights don't count, yet this is exactly the point I was making.....
Medea Posted August 9, 2007 Author Posted August 9, 2007 Meh. In the end I was just hoping to see Matt Damon's tight little tushie do completely badass things. Which he did. So I am pleased.
