Sometimes its a stupid tune,but lately when the alarm clock goes off,I have been awaken by some good tunes,

2.Flight of Icarus Iron Maiden

3.I ran AFOS

4.Drew & Mike,LOL!not a song,just talk

5.Judas Priest Breaking The Law

6.Yes Owner of a Lonely Herat

Depends on which station you have it set on,I change stations periodically,

to avoid being woken up to stupid music,LOL!!

every station throws one in here and there.

I would rather have a CD shuffle going,guaranteed not to hear stupid music,LOL!!

I always thought that if I woke up to The Cure, especially Just Like Heaven, that I would have a good day.

But if I woke up to "Ramblin' Man" by the Allman Brothers (funny how I used to think that was Skynerd), with that godforsaken overly long jam ending, I woke up VERRY cranky.

Because I used to want to listen to the song playing when the alarm went off in it's entirety for a prolonged, non-hectic awakening. And Ramblin man goes on toooooooofuckinloooooooooong.

Another song that used to make me cranky upon waking to it was Dishwalla "Tell me all your thoughts on God".

OMG, I hate that song. And when it came out, it was played to maddening degree every fucking morning.

One of my brothers was a big time YES fan back in the 70s & he'd play some of their songs before he had to leave for school. Of course he'd play them loud enough to wake me up before my alarm went off. He was such an ass hole back then.

I've been awakened by the sequel to that song, "Bitch Get Up and Play with Me," by Soren "Cheeto" Kierkegaard Schuettpelz...

Thankfully, he usually waits until at least noon, though, before he gets the band going.

When I lived at home my moms early morning playlist would consist of Celine Deon, Tony Bennet, Sinatra, Michael Bolton *shudders* and sometimes Aaron Neville. I thought the house was screeching when Bolton came on.

Yea, I hear ya Darque. The worst song I ever woke up to was that one by Phil Collins from that Tarzan soundtrack, "You'll be in my heart". That day I truly felt I died,lol.

"Freshman" by Verve Pipe? is a memorable "wake up" song... I remember because I woke up next to an ex and he was the first guy that stomped on me good.. hahaha wish I could erase those bad choices..

This probably won't ring a bell with anyone, cause it was like 30 years ago. But for about a year I actually had my tape deck turn on and wake me up to OBSCURE ALTERNATIVES by JAPAN. It's a long song that starts out really quiet and then builds and builds and builds till you just gotta get up.
