Fierce Critter Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Jon and I have been trying to find places that two people can eat for $10 or less. Any suggestions? Downriver area would be best. Some examples of things we've found: China Star on Fort in Riverview serves HUMONGOUS portions. A single order of anything to go would run about $7.00 and feed two. Olde Tyme Deli on Biddle in Wyandotte. Tuesdays and Thursdays they serve a chicken paprikash soup that's hearty, filling and delicious. $2.20 a bowl. A mini cobb or other fancy salad is $3.30. Hits $11, but to go you avoid tip and drink expense if you buy your own. A rotisserie chicken from Meijer's will feed two with enough leftovers for chicken salad for lunch the next day. Add a cold salad and you spend about $7.00. Franks Italian in Wyandotte and Del's in Trenton serve gigantic portions of spaghetti for about $8-$9. With free dinner rolls, you've got a nice picnic lunch at Elizabeth Park.
Scary Guy Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 I like National Coney Island because they're cheap and 24 hours. I'll support a 24 hour place before I will a non 24 hour place.
