Sunday looks like it will be beautiful... but we are there rain or shine.

It rained last Sunday, but it let up long enough for me to do my shows...

They are forecasting rain for Sat. but you never know...

I posted my tentative show times on myspace, but I had two shows at the Guinness Pub... 12:15 and 5:30..

The weekend themes are;

Highland Fling: August 25th and 26th

Kick up your heels with traditional Scottish music and the annual Highland Games.

Buccaneer Beer Fest: September 1st, 2nd and 3rd

Grab your tankard and set sail to Hollygrove for adventure and fun..

High Seas Adventure: September 8th and 9th

Drown yourself in laughter at the Swab the Deck game or Perfect Pirate Contest

Wonders of the World: September 15th and 16th

Join us as we celebrate cultures from accross the globe with

International Dances and Song.

Shamrocks and Shenanigans: September 22nd and 23rd

Celebrate everything Celtic during our Irish Heritage Festival.

School Day: September 28th (Friday 10am-4pm)

A day set aside especially for school groups and seniors, but all are welcome!

Sweet Endings: September 29th and September 30th

Parting is such sweet sorrow, but we make it better with our tasty Chocolate Festival

We're looking to go again on Sunday.

I took three of my kids and went last Sunday, the rain wasn't really that bad.

I'm looking at probably going a weekend in September too, as my oldest daughter is on vacation until September and would love to go.

Me too! I decide I am NOT going to buy anything...then I find the most cool one of a kind item hand made.....like the mask below I couldn't afford that day.....

I try just sticking to beer but then I have to eat....thats a good 25 bucks on top of the ticket.

Everyone that see's this says you bought it right? I will if I can.......but if I look around enough I will find 10 things that are 'right' for me......window shopping is ok.

I know I will be going a couple times if not more,Labor day weekwnd looks good,especially Sunday since I do nnot have to work the next day,and can actually be able to drink a few more beers

You can go broke fast trying to shop out there...i have.

The trick is to spend all your time at the shows...(Ded Bob, Owen Phyfe, The Zucchini Bros. etc...) and save your money for beer...lol

Yep.... festival is open Monday this coming weekend..... I had a great weekend, and got to meet a few DGNers.... and I think i saw a few others... not sure yet...

if u come to festival, come to the Pub Sing at 6pm..... at the guinness pub.... fun

I may go again this sunday, i'm not sure yet. Amazingly enough when i was there this past sunday it wasn't it's typical dusty self. It's amazing what some rain and a few tornados will do

I ended up going this last Saturday, and had a pretty good time. It seemed less crowded than usual, maybe because of the rain. I'll probably go again in late September when I might actually be able to buy stuff.

Daevion, Bella Morte and I ended up going this weekend for Buccaneer Weekend. It was a lot of fun and we met Savage and Asphyxian Doll up there as well as Phee's old music companion (name escaped me, he was on this board for awhile). Had a few Guiness and ciders and of course a turkey leg. Hoping to go again real soon if not Labor Day.

Went for bucaneer beer fest , it was great! Savage Minstrel put on a good show in the guiness pub, hats off to ya!
