First the, song name. The only lyrics I can remember are a guy repeating, "ya ya ya ya ya ya, ya ya yaaaaaaah." And the music behind it is fast, with a sound like melodic pot banging.

The rare cut I'm looking for is a sort of "before there were mashups" mash-up of "Der Kommissar" that starts with the After the Fire version, goes into a version recorded by some chick whose name I forget, and ends on the Falco version.

I have that on tape from WABX in the 80's, but have not been able to find a decent recording to put on CD.

Thanks in anticipation of any help.

I think I know the song you're looking for...heavy synth driven music and a little xylophone for good measure?, almost sounds like a motorcycle revving? "Go, Stop" in the repeated chorus...something about "Living it up" in there too perhaps?

I think so... I'm listening to a New Wave Hits of the '80's collection right now so I'm not able to listen in my head...

The living it up reference sounds familiar...

Let me do a lyrics search on that.

Not finding anything under that except some Aaaron Carter song... blech.

BINGO.

I heard that on Sirius a few weeks back, and didn't have a pen & paper available so I could write that down. Thanks, Phee.

Now, how about that Der Komissar splice, gang? Has anyone else ever even heard it?

I was thinking it was called "go", but I NEVER would've remembered the name of the band Phee. Kudos.

I've heard the German version, the English version, the ATF version and the Falco version. . . . . but not all of them together?

as soon as i saw that phee typed in "go" then the ya ya ya made more sense in my head. ;) i couldn't get it to sound right before that.
