I couldn't make it guys.... I was whipped after the first day of festival.... it was awesome, though..... nicest opening day I can remember.

I was there for a very expensive night. Gave a friend some gas money and gave a complete stranger a cab ride home nowhere near where I live. She was a nice girl, and very pretty, but it wasn't even about that. I didn't even ask for her phone number. I just made sure she got home safe after getting stranded in Detroit. So instead of a $1.50 bus ride home, I spent $70 on cab fare + a tip. I was kind of bummed out earlier in the night, and feeling pretty miserable and alone. Now that I'm home, I"m just glad that this perfect stranger is home safe and sound.

Yeah it was a good night. Too bad I had to leave early as my hearse was having front end steering problems. Its a good thing I left early because it was a bitch trying to get that thing all the way to Ypsi. Had to pull off the highway from the major jerking the steering wheel was doing. Ended up taking Ford Rd and Michigan ave all the way home.

Met a few new faces though like Nihil and SuzQZ. Good to see some faces back in the area like DamagedAngel & Msterbeau. Looks like I missed Kevin (Pickle) and Sybil though.

Btw, was glad to see Jon up there DJing as well. Saint and Jon make a good duo.

LOL - Jon actually only played one track last night (Ladytron - "Destroy Everything You Touch") while I went to take a MUCH NEEDED urination station break. J9 and I split the rest of the night. Jon handles the DJ'ing on Fridays as you may know, so if you haven't checked out a Friday in a while...

Bummer about the hearse and yeah that is a long way to travel with a vehicle problem. I drive home to a2 after DJ'ing - and one night last winter my window just fell into the door frame - that was a cold cold drive. Hell, even last night with the rain was not a fun drive.

Ah, I figured, but didn't want to assume in case there was a sub or guest or something. I've really enjoyed the playlists the last few times I've been. I hesitate to say it's been "better" than in the past because I don't mean to imply it was bad before, but I'm just hearing more stuff that I personally prefer to dance to. And that makes me happy.

Was a great night. So thrilled I finally got to meet some of you. You are all as nice and friendly in person as you are online and so much fun. Even passed out a couple of DGN cards that Marc got from Nienna Troy and Hunhee get the award for bestest hugs ever (next to Marc) Looking forward to catching up with you all again.
