Draco1958 Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 When I was a kid, sour cherries, Sweetarts, Starbursts, anything sour and fruity. Lately I've been craving Jellybellies. I've been told I have a jelly belly, you wanna play with it?? LOL Could not resist. The evil bad joke gremlin made me type it.
Draco1958 Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Reeses peanut butter cups, butterfinger, milky way, almond joy, mounds milk chocolate, nestle's crunch, sometimes snickers and when I was younger, chunky bars.
hunhee Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Pop Rox Fun Dip (I think it's called) those wax bottles with the juice inside them any type of gummies sour patch kids star bursts did they have skittles when we were young? I just love them. Mombas Snickers (I love these) I can't eat any of this now tho :( Life sux.
TrixieGothGirl Posted August 22, 2007 Author Posted August 22, 2007 I remember eating those Circus Peanuts when I was three yrs old. Talk about your repressed memories.*laughs* I also liked Bottle Caps, Razzles(it's a candy then it's a gum) , Marathon Bar(it looked like a braid), it's no longer around though. I never could stand candy corn though.
Onyx Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Nestle Choco-Lite bars. Wish they still made those. Sort of an air-filled pure chocolate dream.
TrixieGothGirl Posted August 22, 2007 Author Posted August 22, 2007 Does anyone remember Flix? They came in a narrow cardboard tube(kinda like a narrow version of a toilet paper tube). Those were the bomb. I remember getting those at the snackbar at the drive-in. I still also eat red licorice. Can't stand the black licorice though. Anyone ever watch Unwrapped on the Food Network? I like the episodes when they talk about the candy from childhood. Great show.
Hellion Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Marathon(disappeared in 1981) Chaco-Lites Fiz-Wiz
angusfergus Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Nestle Choco-Lite bars. Wish they still made those. Sort of an air-filled pure chocolate dream. Nestle still makes something similar. It's called an Aero bar, and is available everywhere BUT the US. EDIT: clarity
Hellion Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 What ever happened to M&M Royals?those were awsome, chocolate mint
Draco1958 Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Nestle still makes something similar. It's called an Aero bar, and is available everywhere BUT the US. EDIT: clarity Not sure who makes it but I have seen aero bars on store shelves. Plus Meijer's has an international food section and they may carry it.
Sybil Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 I THINK they were called Raz..? they had a powdery flavor that fizzed.. Charleston Chew (vanilla flavor, only. didnt like the chocolate or strawberry) Reese PNut butta cups - STILL -THE- FAVE.
Sybil Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 *GASPS!* CIRCUS PEANUTS. ..aww.. *tear* my dad used to get those for me when i was in trouble.. cheered me right up.
angusfergus Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Not sure who makes it but I have seen aero bars on store shelves. Plus Meijer's has an international food section and they may carry it. I have occasionally seen them at Meijer, and also at Hiller's, but most places do not carry them and they are not officially a US distribution.
Velvet Tears Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 I have occasionally seen them at Meijer, and also at Hiller's, but most places do not carry them and they are not officially a US distribution. Bonkers and Tear Jerkers. I don't think they make bonkers anymore and I haven't seen tear jerker's in years. Does anyone know if they still make Tear jerker's? Oh and another favorite was Chewy Chalk and I know they don't make those anymore.
SuZQZ Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Ok. If you seriously are looking for some of the candy's you loved as a child, but can't find anymore try this site. I've found all kinds of candy that I thought was no longer made CandyDirect.com There's a link down the right column specifically for retro candy, but stuff is also listed in all the other categories.
savageminstrel Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 My favorite candy as a child came from ireland and england.... Cadbury's Flake.
TrixieGothGirl Posted August 23, 2007 Author Posted August 23, 2007 *Points at everything in the store* at Msterbeau. I didn't even think of that. What I would like to do someday is go to one of candy conventions & just pick the candy that I'd want. Talk about major DROOOLLL city.
