Yeah, not the worst I've seen. Personally, I wouldn't buy them. I do wear capris/clam diggers/bermuda's in the warmer weather because I don't wear shorts out in public really (don't have to worrry about seeing my cellulite &/or stretch-marks )

I think they're cute... I have a similar pair with buttons on the legs, almost a jodhpur cut.

Of course these are some impossibly minuscule size. I mean, I was a tiny little thing as a teen but I never wore a 3... smallest size I can recall wearing was a 5 in high school. No, sizes are shrinking. I can't remember where, but I read an article that says if you find some vintage pants from the 70s and compared them with brand new pants now, the exact same sized pant would be two sizes smaller. So, if you wear size 3 pants, then you'll need at least a size 5 in vintage clothing. Personally, I like the way men's clothing works. If you have a 34 inch waist, you wear a size 34 pants. A 48 inch waist? Size 48 pants. Same with shoes. A guy wearing size 10 shoes means his foot is 10 inches long.

That makes sense. I wear an 18 but I know I'm not bigger than my mom was back in the '70s-'80s when she wore a 14... and we have essentially the same type of figure. And some lines are known for their sizes running way big... Victoria's Secret comes to mind, also Apple Bottoms.

I've often thought women's clothing sizes should be more standard, like men's... the problem with that is there's much more variation in body type with women. Sizing women's clothing by waist size doesn't work well 'cos hip size can vary so much from one woman to the next. So it's kind of nice to know that there are certain clothing l ines that are a good fit for you... altho finding which ones they are is helly frustrating.

Thank you! That means I am successful in camouflaging with clothing. Although I am on the thinner side, like many others there are those body parts that I am less than happy with.

I would have to agree that sizes are getting smaller these days.

As for why women have such difficulty with finding the right size that fits, I would have to guess that since alot of clothing, for men or women these days, is Man-made, whoever the men are, that make said clothing, must have been pissed off at their wives on the day the clothes were made.

Perhaps the clothing sizing issues are a form of revenge from the makers of the clothes lol... I dunno.

I have a few pairs of capris and I love them, but they don't look good on everyone nor do they go well with just anything. I think it just depends on what you are wearing them with.

I refuse to wear capris, due to my GIANT CALVES from walking and riding my bike and jumping around at concerts and clubs. There are some cute ones, though. Cry of Flesh has some kickass capris (they call them quarter pants)... I especially love the Crossfire quarter pants, which I intend on making something similar, but full pants

And capris and boots are out of the question, too. I have yet to find a boot that will fit on my calf. Even my room mates ankle boots won't zip up all the way :(

I have a few pairs that are tight all the way down and frankly, I rock them. I wear them with stilettos and cute tanks or tees. There is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with them whatsoever.And, as long as they have a small degree of stretch, they're cute.

Now if you want to talk hideous, how about those heinous Tripp chain pants? Those are ugly. Leave the capris alone.

I have a couple pairs of capris because they're comfortable, but, yeah, they're not the most figure flattering item ever invented.

Most women seem to be able to find a pair that looks ok, but not great. Even on tall, skinny, modelesque women it makes them look a little boyish.

Plus. it is very hard to find a shoe that compliments them and doesn't kill your feet. I'll only wear them with stilletos or pretty high wedge sandals. That is, unless I'm somewhere like there grocery store where I could care less if I look good.
