Empty Capsules / Gelcaps

I'm looking for someplace in the area that sells empty capsules. Basically the sort of capsules that prescription drugs come in, that you can fill yourself.

I did a quick google, and found they sell them on vitamin sites and things like that. So I'm wondering if health food places like GNC or other might have them.

Anyone know?

I'm pretty sure GNC doesn't have them .. but another place you might want to try could be weight building places.

as a last resort when you cant find them at all, is buy something that comes really cheap, like vitamin b, in a gelcap. empty them and use the caps. its more expensive than buying empty ones but works in a pinch.

It's not very whole food if it's empty is it?

Use to buy those and fill them with my own goodies.

It would be hole food.

I used to get them at food co-ops... and most health food stores probably have them. The independent ones if not the chains like GNC. Altho I'm almost certain I've seen 'em at Better Health.

I just called a nearby GNC

They have them. $5.99 for 100 capsules.

It could still be cheaper for me to empty out capsules of cheap aspirin or other, especially through the dollar store or store-brands. But I've tried opening capsules like that before, and they do have a dot of seal on them, so more often than not, they break.

What do you need them for?

Dont use other capsules. You dont know the chemical reactions of the substances....even just a little bit of residue may change or harm or weaken a subtance......

I use a straw to fill both ends to almost full then put them together.

Edit: Someone beat me to the pun-ch.
