Reaper Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 I have noticed recently that on this site only do I have to hit the back button twice for the action to happen. This doesn't occur on any other website. Is anyone else experiencing this?
freydis Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 Nope. Never noticed it. What browser you using?
Reaper Posted September 10, 2007 Author Posted September 10, 2007 I use IE. Thing is, I have been using it for years and viewing DGN with it. Don't think I noticed anything until that fox browser was installed. I am going to uninstall it and see what happens.
Fierce Critter Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 This is happening to me, too, using MSIE under AOL's umbrella.
Reaper Posted September 10, 2007 Author Posted September 10, 2007 This is happening to me, too, using MSIE under AOL's umbrella. Weird. I removed Mozilla Firefox but that apparently is not conflicting with anything. Must be a recent bug from a website or something. Its not harmful or anything, just annoying.
Draco1958 Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 I'm having that problem on my laptop but not my tower. XP Pro on laptop, Win98SE on tower.
Homicidalheathen Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 Funny my g/f said the same thing about my asshole. LOL! Damn, girl.....I gotta lick it twice to get you off......lol just kidding. I have noticed recently that on this site only do I have to hit the back button twice for the action to happen. This doesn't occur on any other website. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Falstaff Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 Mouse gestures seem to work fine on this end. I can't even think of what year I last hit a back button
Gaf The Horse With Tears Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 Clear your browser cache. Flash animations and scripting (like in the banners) can hose the back functions sometimes.
hunhee Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 Clear your browser cache. Flash animations and scripting (like in the banners) can hose the back functions sometimes. It's not that, I clear this one at work all the time, and I am still having the same issues. it's just a bit of an annoyance, like Reaper said, but no clue why it's happening.
Gaf The Horse With Tears Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 another thing it might be.. heavy on might... is your host file. I hav read of a few instances of spyware altering the host file.. when the spyware is removed the host file is still changed... this causes the back function to not work correctly. I don;t really know how much faith I put in that.. but i did find a few referances to it when doing a google search on your problem. It always seem to fi the problem for the people that did it. I have a small utility that will repair your host file if you dont know how to. I can email it to you if you need it.
Burrich1 Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 I have the same problem when I log on while i'm at work, but it isn't an issue at home. I've tried everything, and decided to jost blame it on IT at work.
Reaper Posted September 10, 2007 Author Posted September 10, 2007 Could DGN possibly be hosting it if it was on a certain link on a post? If people clicked the link on the post and it went to another site that may be producing it, the problem may be lying there.
Reaper Posted September 11, 2007 Author Posted September 11, 2007 What version IE? 6.0 Had it on this computer for a long time now. Can't upgrade for certain reason....arrrrr!
Scary Guy Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 6.0 Had it on this computer for a long time now. Can't upgrade for certain reason....arrrrr! if it's a legal version of the OS I can fix that. if it's an illegal version of the OS I can fix that too. This is also in the wrong forum

This is also in the wrong forum Thats ok, that is what the mods are for. If I don't know where it goes, then they will. So anyway, I should bring it over to update a lot. I don't have any way to uh, fix a lot of the bugs that I have hehe. Btw, Odims can move this to the Movies, Books, Art, TV, Gaming and Computers forum at any time.
Scary Guy Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 Pirated just download and run this program http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/AutoP...XP/1067103058/1 (last time I tried to download it worked, if it doesn't I have a copy)
Reaper Posted September 18, 2007 Author Posted September 18, 2007 Ok, now I don't have to hit the back button twice. Its back to normal, so what the hell happened around here? I haven't done anything to the computer at all.
Scary Guy Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 My guess is you never actually had to hit it twice, the site just got faster for you to wait. I mean seriously I've never heard of this problem before.
