Destroit Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 Sounds like a good idea... And yeah, Pretty Woman... so many teeny bopper gum chewing thundercunts liked that movie... And what message did that movie have? That if you are a slut... but a good slut with a heart of gold... then some rich dude will take care of you. If you think about it, it seems that a lot of people must have watched this movie, it would explain a lot of what's going on in our culture. As an aside, I actually read the original script for that movie before it went through the Holiwood machine... It is like 80% different and very depressing. The Julia Roberts character is actually a heroin addict and Richard Gere is actually an abusive sadistic fuck... and yeah they love each other in the end because they both feed each others addictions, her drugs and his sadism... and in the end she overdosed. Pretty sweet, eh? Actually if they kept the original script it probably would have been better, but I can tell they were probably trying to attract the housewife/teenybopper crowd, which they did. Yeah basically my mom teaches highschool and all the girls "wanna grow up and be like in Pretty Women" and it makes her gag everytime.

Head Wreck Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 get carter (sly stalone version) Peal Harbour. (god it was a stinker.) Nightwatch (seriously, this film couldnt decide if it was a drama or a comedy, the whole yellow bus sequence just did not fit) shock waves (so bad its good) transformers. (sorry, its a "WHEE LOOK AT THE CGI" film that forgot to budget in a plot) star wars epi's 1-3 lucas should be taken outside to a small cold tin shed and shot for those) daredevil (a lame comic, i didnt think they could make it any worse except they budgeted inben afleck and again, forgot to budhget in a script writer) jersey girl. (a film so bad it must have given kevin smith a kick up the arse to write clerks 2) oooh so many out there
phee Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 I also must concur with the Matrix 2 and 3... Jet Li turned them down... and the asked Sean Connery to play the character of The Architect and he said "no" It is always a sad thing when film makers, musicians or any artist for that matter starts believing their own hype.
pomba gira Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 ...Phee seriously. You gotta stop stealing the words outta my mouth WELL I guess since he stole my first two...I would also have to suggest the other shitty movie made by the same shitty actor/actress combo: Runaway Bride My friends MADE me go see it (hence the reason I don't generally hang out with much vagina anymore) because they were having a girl fit due to the fact that they "were too scared to go see Blair Witch Project" when we were all in 9th grade. Needless to say I was constantly seconds away from impaling myself in the eyeball with my Lick 'Em Stick during the entire course of the "movie" (yes those quotes were on purpose). The bitches I was with loved the whole fucking thing, which made my stomach churn and almost caused me to chunk my popcorn all up on the happy girlfriend and miserable boyfriend duo sitting in front of me. The movie was so bad that I sat in the theatre questioning if there was even a God for two hours of my life. Two hours, that might I add, which I will never ever be able to get back for as long as I live. Almost reminds me of when I had to watch Titanic 8 times in 7th grade, and the first time we saw it (on opening night, the theatre was fucking packed and I had to sit on the floor 'cause I was the fat and unpopular girl) I spent the whole night after the movie consoling a whole bunch of crying prepubescent girls saying "It's okay...it's okay...it was only a movie. Only a movie dears, Leonardo DiCaprio is not really dead." If Leo wasn't in it I probably would never have made it all the way through the movie the first time (yeah yeah I was 12 years old once and thought he was the hottest thing ever put on the earth at the time). Then I spent most of my highschool years after that hanging out exclusively with boys and haven't seen a bad movie since Jeez, where were all the girls like you when I was young? I share your loathing of chick flicks... I don't like most movies anyway but Tokagemaru will watch ANYTHING and has tried to make me sit through a few intelligence-lowering gems like "Legally Blonde" lately. The last one was some utterly nauseating idiocy where this dedicated doctor with no life is in a coma and only one guy can see her spirit walking around and they get her back in her body-of course mere seconds before they're gonna pull the plug- but then she doesn't remember him and OH GOD PLEASE KILL ME NOW!!!!
creatureofthenyte Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 Eragon.....SUCKED, the previews looked promising, but its not even rentable. Meet the Fockers....waay too much tasteless toiletbowl humor The Brothers Solomon, Ive only seen the previews, but Ive read that its already been voted worst movie of the year. Bring it on; don't even ask. Freddy VS Jason : this one could have been cool if it wasnt done in such a comical fashion. Catwoman w/hally barry

Necromanta Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 The Ring All new slasher films House of 1000 corpses The Devils Rejects ROB ZOMBIE IN GENERAL. Hills Have Eyes 1+2. Touristas. Blades of Glory. Elf. Stranger than Fiction. Anything Will Ferrell relates to. Star Trek movies. My advice is to stick to more foriegn films.
Scary Guy Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Day Of The Triffids YES, my hand and a branch were a triffid plant in a Nightmare Sinema skit! www.nightmaresinema.com I like cheesy
Shade Everdark Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Silent Hill - what they did to the best horror genre game (shut up and sit down, Resident Evil fans, you had your shot) is unforgivable, to say the least. Any of the Planet of the Apes movies, with the exception of the first one. The Three Musketeers - the one with Keifer Sutherland and Charlie Sheen. Anything with Fantastic Four in it.
Scary Guy Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 House of 1000 corpsesThe Devils Rejects ROB ZOMBIE IN GENERAL. Alright, I don't get this. I don't know what issues you have with Rob but these movies were good. Much better than most of the modern horror out today. I also want to see the new Halloween as well. He brought back the whole Texas Chainsaw style, unless you didn't like that either.
TrixieGothGirl Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Both Flintstone movies. P U *thumbs down*
Head Wreck Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 hollywood remakes in general they ruuin most things and hope to bring cash in by big name actors, who are often not suited to the roles. or: they try and remake an asian horror for western viewers and completely miss the point of why it was good (keeping the shocks and thrills constant on desensatises you to the finalle and then the films a let down, if not allready yawnworthy seen it beore cliches), take audition for example its a slow film with the ocasional hmm moment and then the finalle blows your mind, in retrospect it5s not as shocking as hollywood gorefests but it just hits hard with timing hollywood doesnt understand timing
Nevar (5) Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 the grudge, 28days later and the cable guy, time better spent elsewhere.

Necromanta Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Alright, I don't get this. I don't know what issues you have with Rob but these movies were good. Much better than most of the modern horror out today. I also want to see the new Halloween as well. He brought back the whole Texas Chainsaw style, unless you didn't like that either. The remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre sucked too. Rob Zombie's characters in House of 1000 Corpses/Devil's Rejects practically resemble the entire cast of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.. which I consider a real rip off of the original film. I didn't really enjoy how he choreographed the film either. I was done about 30 minutes or so into both films. Slasher films are generally not included in my ensemble of movies.

Jadis Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Epic Movie definately sucked. Blair Witch Project ... and the sequel. almost anything that has Jim Carey in it ...

phee Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 There is nothing worse than a bad horror movie that can't at least be entertaining... Usually if I see a PG-13 rating on a "Horror Movie" that has been made in the last 15 years a red flag goes off. Think all of the Final Destination movies... Darkness Falls.... The Grudge remake... etc...
phee Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 I usually watch a lot of zombie films. How unoriginally goth of me. xDAbbot and Costello meet Frankenstein Cannibal Holocaust Evil Dead (The original) Psycho Nosferatu(Original as well) Rosemary's Baby Dracula Original House on Haunted Hill(Vincent Price) Original House of Wax(Vincent Price) Creepshow Pet Semetary (Especially when that kid bites out the old man's throat O_o) Amityville Horror Feast Audition Dead Alive The Shining(original) etc. so on You think these are not good???
Necromanta Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 No, are good. xD I was replying to scary guy
