Getting started with this post a bit early this time due to various reasons.

DGN @ City Club, Saturday, April 16th

Come. Join us. Meet us. Hang out. We're not that scary in person, really.

Leland City Club

400 Bagley Street

Downtown Detroit

You enter by going through an unmarked door on the First Street side of the Ramada Hotel building, located at 400 Bagley Street in downtown Detroit. The club is at the top of the stairwell. (see picture in the link above in the DGN calendar entry)

All are welcome. Come meet some of us weirdos.

Saturday nights from 10:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.

Alcoholic drinks until 2:00 a.m., pop and juices served all night.

Admission is $4

18 and up, 21 to drink with proper ID (no exceptions).

No drugs, weapons, chains, spikes or cell phones.

I doubt it heh. Usually theres more DGNers there than you can physically talk to and have to just walk past some of them on the way to the bathroom and when you come back they are gone. :blushing

I'll be there...for sure, i just have to remind myself to save a few $$...i've got a nice amount of gas in my car and don't have to go too many places on it...so admission will be the only fee i have to remember :doh if only it were free until 11...anyway...see you all there...p.s. Had a blast Saturday! minor altercations...but a blast nonetheless

I will definitely be going, and I have the next morning off of work. I either could use a ride or perhaps someone to split a room so I can sleepy afterwards and not spend a whole $50 myself.

It feels good to feel welcome. Thank you. The same cannot be said for here, as I pointed out on the other thread about the StL Goth scene.

As a sidenote...I am thoroughly looking forward to this weekend. It looks like I will not be alone, but my friend from there is driving, and he will likely have his girlfriend, and we will likely have most (if not all) of the band in tow. This weekend is the formal audition for me, and it looks really good so far that I will be accepted. If that happens, the band will be 6 members strong. So that is (If everyone comes along...) 7 fresh faces for you all to look at on Sat.

Question: I have a belt I plan to wear that I want to make sure will be OK. It is a black leather belt with bondage rings and chains riveted onto the leather. Does anyone see a problem with this? None of the hardware comes off the belt, so I don't know if that would make a difference.

As far as the clothing restrictions, ther are really none, City Club does however ban cell phones, cameras, pagers, and any form of weaponry. You should be fine with the belt you've described above. Take care until then!
