TomCat Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 Ok, would someone be so kind as to do this stuff for me? I'd like one by next week. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Done, now we'll just have to get the materials into your hands.
Marblez Posted April 10, 2005 Author Posted April 10, 2005 Sooth thanks for the email. I appreciate, i do.
Marblez Posted April 11, 2005 Author Posted April 11, 2005 I went back to the same place Saturday night.....they recognized me and said "Is that Tina? Come on up here and sing with us again!!!" Yay, 2 nights in a row!!
soothsayer Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Good for you Marblez, it is addictive. There's a great feeling to play music in front of a crowd. What songs did you sing? Must get details woman but not too many. :laughing
Marblez Posted April 11, 2005 Author Posted April 11, 2005 So far I am just a One Hit Wonder with "Me and Bobby McGee"
soothsayer Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Cool. One must begin somewhere and it is best to begin with a song you're most confident with. I know how much you like that song. I could listen to you sing it a hundred times.......wait ~ I already have. J/K........you know how much I loathe, I mean, you know it's my favorite song.
Marblez Posted April 11, 2005 Author Posted April 11, 2005 ok, i found a musician/songwriter in Westland that is interested to hear me. He just put out an ad for people wanting to form a band. He has many songs already ready to go and they happen to be in my most favorite style. He is aware of my inexperience and is impressed with my folk/rock/pop influences of Jewel, Edie Brickell and Norah Jones (Iknow, I know, how un-goth of me) and would like to give me a listen. YAY!
Daevion Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Thats great news!! good luck with that. I was really impressed the first and only time I heard you sing karoke, the name of the bar escapes me atm. You have a great singing voice and should take it beyond karoke.

Sooth is very familiar with that place as well. I can't stand that place now, bleh. LOL.

soothsayer Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 ok, i found a musician/songwriter in Westland that is interested to hear me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's great Marblez. Are you looking forward to playing the same songs again and again? It can be a bit nerve racking but it can also be worth it. Good luck and you might want to record any band practices so you can keep tabs on your progress (you'll soon have a collection like the one you saw I have). Don't let any bad days distract you and try to always keep a profesional mind about it. Maybe someday your band can warm up for my band.
Marblez Posted April 11, 2005 Author Posted April 11, 2005 Maybe someday your band can warm up for my band. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah it might be a refreshing little break from the big arenas that I will be playing at the time
soothsayer Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 I see how ya' are. :whistling Side note : If I weren't tired right now I'd have a real good comeback for that but I'll let you off the hook. See, told you I was tired. :laughing
