Halloween At Necto 10/29/07

On Monday OCT. 29th the Necto will once again be hosting the largest, wildest Halloween party in our scene. DJ's Bradd and myself will be spinning all your favorite hits plus some holiday classics's. On top of the best sound and lights in the area we will be having holiday drink specials not to be missed. For our costume contest this year we will be offering $150 for 1st place $100 for second and $50 for third place. Also we will be announcing a major concert exclusive to Necto and information on another event none of you will want to miss. All and all many good things in the next few months. We want to thank everyone that has made Necto the busiest bar in our scene in Michigan. What we have in store for you all will only live up to the reputation.

Well, now with the free admission through Linx, no one has an excuse, except me maybe.

I will find out this weekend if I'm able to get out of the cage long enough to see you guys.

For anyone that hasn't been there, Necto is a more open space and 10x cleaner.

Only bad part is you have to go to this downstairs area to have a normal conversation.

That, and it isn't as dark as CC (That's a positive or negative, depending on who you ask)

At least there is a downstairs. At Neo in Chicago, it's just like Necto but no downstairs, so no talking, only yelling.

Brings back memories, two years ago, Halloween 2005 WAS a Monday.

I was AT LEAST 15 pounds thinner, and for some reason,

I was feeling more in touch with my (now-nearly-fairly-dead) bi side,

so I dressed as a club kid with next to no clothing, and danced on the stripper pole.

I saw a whole lot of DGNers for the first time that night.

There was a whole cluster by the middle of the bar, with,

I can't remember who-

someone wearing a gladiator suit-

in the center.

Mstrbeau was at the end of the bar flirting with a woman.

So, I asked if he was on DGN. When he asked the same, I said, "No, I just lurk a little

What a weird time for me.

It was the last time I saw Unchaste (remember her?--Type O Neg freak who always posted in Green).

She had just implicitly dumped my ass for Ajax.

The next morning, she made it official and I kicked off a two week depressive/crying spell.

I emerged by finding solace in Bean Water's poetry.

After coming to terms that Ajax was a much better match for Unchaste than I was,

I cautiously went on my first date with BW.

The rest is history.

Bean was, and still is, everything I ever could have asked for, and more

And, I haven't been to a Necto goth night since.

I think I'll have to come back Monday, to finish the circle.
