Play This Song & Tell Me What It Is?

...this song was popular for a long time @ CityClub (they still play it sometimes), but I don't know its name or what group performs it!

Need help from someone who can play it on a keyboard or guitar & tell me what it is. :->

The music is from a synthesizer. There is no drumbeat until after this musical passage (drums start with lyrics, man's voice, Lennon-esque):

(repeat eight times)

then

Downbeat: E (sixteenth note)

A (8th note), B (8th note), C (8th note), sixteenth rest, E (sixteenth note)

(repeat eight times)

then

Downbeat: D (sixteenth note)

G (8th note), A (8th note), B-flat (8th note), sixteenth rest, D (sixteenth note)

(repeat eight times)

then back to first section:

Can't figure out how to write music on DGN.

I tried putting what you said into fruity loops and got nothing. Apparently you're too advanced for my shitty software which exists for times just like these. The online link didn't help much either. More information and maybe I'll be able to come up with something.
