please let me know that i'm not the only one that plays...

....anyone?

it takes up at least 5 hours of my day. mostly due to me being anal and building custom Sim homes.

i have the University expansion pack, and good goobily goo is it ever getting challenging!

i can't morally(easily) just invent new ways to kill my sims because now they have families to think of. :devil

Anyhow...

just wondering if anyone has something to say about the game?

I toyed with the idea of picking up the sims/sims2. I did have it for the gameboy advance and played it for awhile, though it was simplified down quite bit. Right now I'm currently engrossed with rome:totalwar and few other games, not to mention the time issue. Games = timesink. Maybe I can build some medieval torture devices and dungeons, something like would peak my interest for the sims.

i play, but haven't recently. i get into the sims for a couple of weeks, playing alot. then i get bored and stop for months. and then go back to it. i just got the expansion pack too but haven't played it yet.

one cheat i must have every sims game - the money cheat. it is not fun to me if i can't build some huge crazy houses and decorate.

do you know the "motherlode" cheat for lots of money in the sims 2?

Absolutely! Only use the cheats for building. Especially with University for making dorms. You have to rezone things and it bites. On the plus side, you can now build 10 story buildings. :blink

I used to play the sims 1 quite a bit. But it reminds me so much of MMORPGs (EverQuest and such) and it weakens my resolve to try and quit playing them so i've steered away from The Sims 2. MMORPG addiction, for me anyway is nearly as bad as heroin addiction or some such. (mildy joking but also a bit serious)

I'd LIKE to play it, but i better not. Hell i even view the more "builder" type games that have no real way to "win" with some suspicion. I do tiptoe around SimCity 4 and RollerCoaster Tycoon now and then, carefully. :laughing

My ex girlfriend used to eat & sleep The Sims for awhile, till i sucked her down into the 10th level of hell know as online mutliplayer games.
