Early '70s Funkadelic... Cosmic Slop, Testify, Standing On the Verge of Gettin' it On, Jimmy's Got a Little Bit of Bitch in Him, Sexy Ways... all that crazy old pre- Mothership Connection stuff.

Next: the Circle Jerks, Bow Wow Wow and Nikki Giovanni stuff I jacked from my brother's collection on Thanksgiving & COMPLETELY forgot about 'till just now when I read this thread!

The mid eighties music of my generation. Stuff like Quiet Riot, Ratt, Motely Crue and others. Even music like Duran Duran and Boy George. Must be this mid life crisis thing.

I loved early Motley because I lived in that hollywood strip scene scene personally and know it from the inside.

but I also like (didint used to ) alot of that mid 80's stuff as well like duran duran and psychedelic furs and such......

Dispite my dislike for guitars I just started listening to Circle of Dust again.

I guess it's not really guitars I don't like, more like Guitar players who think their re-inventing something.

I LOVE guitars up front but I have to give it to you here, because I hate that in guitar players too...actually I hate that in musical snobbery in general.....if you stumble into something that realy is new and cutting edge then wonderful, but when you try to be new and cutting edge its usually just a big fat mess so its best to just do what you love to do and leave all the recipe making to the critics....

...I remember this band coming and going form the christian music scene.....sort of like saviour machine.....a bit too much for the box that that scene can be, even though its opened up alot over the last 10 years.

I did too actually, but they grew on me. They have more of a minimal art damaged electro appeal to them. I can see from a lot of your taste they are more indie posch. ;) Their songs Lovesick and White Walls just get me wanting to groove.
