Fierce Critter Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 I had a sudden fit of need for Red Hot Chili Peppers the other day. GOOD Chili Peppers. Uplift Mofo Party Plan, Mother's Milk. What have you pulled off your CD/LP/Cassette rack that you haven't listened to in a while?
odims_sphere Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 FUnny you should ask, I was just playing Pigface's Fook for Candy last night. I haven't listened to that disk in years!
Destroit Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Skinny Puppy - ViVisect I almost forgot I had it, or figured it had gotten stolen from me 'cause I've had shit stolen out of my house in the past year by "friends", but I found it in a CD holder thingy that I hardly use.
Msterbeau Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 My pots and pans... Oh.. You didn't say "dis-colored" did you? Um... Musically... nothing has been de-archived lately.

Fin Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Now this ought to get a good laugh: The Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. I know, I know--but I DARE you to play the whole thing once & not have your knees bounce up & down @ least once in a would-be hustle before you catch yourself.

Fierce Critter Posted November 20, 2007 Author Posted November 20, 2007 I feel like some Fleetwood Mac today. But my CD collection is mostly stashed away in a hard to reach area, so I probably won't bother searching for Rumors.

I have some old robert johnson CD's that I listen too sometimes when I want a feel for real pain..... I know of the music. But probably wouldn't care for it, to be honest. To me, the magic of the Fleetwood Mac that I love has to include Lindsay Buckingham, and to only a very, very slightly lesser degree, Stevie Nicks. Lindsay is very, very high up there on my list of favorite/best guitarists. It's too bad most of his solo stuff is really trite, because I really love his style when he's "on".

I understand this completley.....and I hate to tuse the word "mature" but it works for him as a player/writer. I do dig on Stevie though.........she's completely unique.

You know, he's comparable with Richard Thompson. Both of them have an ability to sound like they're playing 2 guitars at the same time. Especially when they're acoustic. I got into Richard Thompson in the late 90's briefly. Bought the album that the radio-played "Feels So Good" was on, and was hooked. Saw him play solo acoustic at... ummm... errr... was it Industry? and it was incredible. I haven't heard anything else by him, though. I tend to switch genre interest quickly and did so with him before I could listen to any more of his dozens of albums.

But my CD collection is mostly stashed away in a hard to reach area, so I probably won't bother searching for Rumors. I love Fleetwood Mac. .... Unfortunately, I lost most of my Fleetwood Mac in my last divorce, but we're still friends, so I burned a lot of it onto my iPod.

I think I ripped them to hard-drive and sold them off... If I still have any of them, however, I could rip them for you. I'm pretty sure I would have kept Rumors & the one that came before it, with Rhiannon & Say That You Love me on it.
n0Mad Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Roger Whittaker. Great to sing along to in the car.
