What Have You Discoverd

Looking around the almighty internet... the wonderous powerfull tool that it can be often underestemated has braught new music and bands to the limelight most of which you would never hear anything about unless it was spun at a club, on the radio, from a sampler album, or attendance at local shows

my question to you is as the music consumer

If anything what have you discoverd; via the internet music wise that not one of your peers has?

with so many resources availible to look up artists you would never know existed if it were not around,

there are several websites such as myspace that allow countless numbers of musicians of varying degree to upload their songs....

i want to know what have you found to enjoy that youve personally discoverd?

be it a long semi-forgotten band such fad gadget, or something new to you and your freinds such as sindaddy

or do you not look?

Alot of what I listen to cannot be found on the radio. Some of it is by well known bands here in the US, but some of it is by lesser known artists.

Examples of music, Ive found online, that I like, are: Leave's Eyes and After Forever

most of what i listen too, will never be played on the radio, because it is either too original,or not mainstream,(damn i hate that word)LOL!!and some music I came across was from word of mouth too.

I bought the cd Sine Anema from Morfiouz awhile ago, some of it has a cinematic/orchestra edge to it which is what I try to go for.

Der Nister is also very good. The mastered EP's sound great. He should do some music vids!

i didnt want to know input from djs, you guys are constantly looking for artists anyways to find out whats new ,what you would think would be good what would be bad you guys are usually the first to play new and old stuff at the clubs and the first ones to respond with positive or negative to questions on new music bands artists albums... i wanted to know what people themeself find to their liking out of personal reaserch with out the aid of djs, tvs, magazines, radio, etc just from say the myspace music profiles or purevolume.net stuff that generally hasnt been heard or played around ..its a curiosity to me to see if and how many(not to say that you are all average far from it you all are a great bunch of well rounded unique people but as a consumer) average people look for new and unheard artists on their own...

kind of a backwards dj type thing where people find stuff maybe you havent heard of as a dj in turn which would give new "And" older forgotten bands some sort of coverage if you find them to your liking and end up spinning them

a music experiment type post was my intention....

i still want djs to post thoughts

but i dont want djs to post music theyve personally discoverd

itd be better to hear your(the dj) input on what some one else has found that you(the dj) have known nothing of prior to

I discover new techno daily they dont play on the radio.

you wanna know what I found???

(much to the dismay of my kids lol who had to listen to me singing it loudly in the car the other night)

The dick sucking song!!!

'Bellringer Feat, Benny Bugs VS DJ Wiggy'

It is now, my personal anthem.

Or something. :w00t::tongue::blink:

You just don't find x rated stuff on radio heh

Many a x rated mix I find just browsing Record time.

This was such a good deal. I got two cd's with like 20 songs on each for 14 bucks.

Its the ministry of sound big tunes x rated.

Hmmm *thinks really hard* I've been obviously heavy into techno for awhile (I generally listen to just techno/EBM/synthpop/industrial...I generally don't like trance, I did in HS but now i'm more for house/jungle/drum & bass kinda stuff)

Welllll I've always loved that song from Party Monster called "Frank Sinatra" by Miss Kitten (almost is more of dance/pop/techno hybridness, but still, it's teh sass when you're in that sorta mood) and decided to search the artist on limewire. Very uhmmm ecclectic artist I have to say, usually the songs are ridiculously profane, have good haunting vocals (dep. on the song usually either haunting or cocky - of which I enjoy both) and sexy beats in the background that make you go oontz oontz. Check her out.

Off topic: Well Adobe makes good windows movie making software, for instance, Adobe Premiere Elements. But Final Cut Pro for Macs reign supreme.
