Yup. Thing 2 just bought a sound track compiliation cd for the game Threads of Fate.

She said all of the songs are on there.......26 of them!

And its called Dewprism

Coarse we sorta like some classical flavor around here now and then.

They've been doin' that since SNES (possibly NES, but not only do I have no proof of that, but it seems unlikely because everything was still cassettes back then ). I still have the Killer Instinct soundtrack from when I was in 4th grade, it's actually really good to this day for SNES music, it's really kinda industrial/ebm/metal sounding. Rareware has always had good music though, take Donkey Kong Country for example (by really good music, I mean by videogame standards)

sony ps1s had certain games where you could play the soundtracks from the actual game with a cd player

some games you could play cds if you took the game out after it loaded whatever you were doing and you could put a cd in and it would play the cd

I've got lots of game music, I'm addicted.

I've even got .MOD, .XM, .S3M, .IT, .MIDI, .RMI, .NSF, .VGZ, .HES, files.

Good example is the soundtrack to Radix by Marc Gravelle. Just some great music that's well composed and interesting to listen to when working with no lyrics getting in the way, entire series all in MOD format.

It's also great when the current soundtrack to the game you're playing gets old (or has a lack of a soundtrack). I remember watching my friend Aaron play Diablo in high school and playing FF7 MIDI/MP3 files over certain scenes (since we were addicted to that game too), good times.

I wish more people would do Diablo 2 remixes, I loved that game..

Oh yeah! I forgot about that shit. I even had a few PC games that did the same thing, I can't even remember how I found out but it was on accident. After that I started checking almost all the games I had.

Phantom Dust, for XBOX has a setting where you can chose the songs you want played for each location that you do battle, and it pulls the play list from the songs that you already have stored on your XBOX... you can also sit there and just listen to the music... i love that game.....
