Fierce Critter Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Alter Ego Erotics on eBay I just got my first underbust from them in the mail today - YAY! This is my 3rd from them, and I can't wait to get more. I LOVE THEM. Wearing this one to CC Saturday.
GothicRavenGoddess (3) Posted November 30, 2007 Author Posted November 30, 2007 I wish that I had the money to get one, or I would... I want leather, cuz it gives a little.... yeah.. keep posting your corset findings... Thanks FC!
GOREgeouslyDecorated Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 mmm... I <3 corsets... I have quite a collection of my own actually
Destroit Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 I would so own so many of them except they're so much money. I would MAKE them, but I'm not an expert sewer (see you can even tell because I used the word sewer instead of seamstress) and puting boning in them looks difficult. Heh...heh heh...heh...I said boning. Good resources though, I'll bookmark this page for the day I win the lottery or go on the gameshow Lingo and win big money.
GothicRavenGoddess (3) Posted December 1, 2007 Author Posted December 1, 2007 get me a pattern, and all the supplies, and I will make you one... i'm quite good at sewing.
Nienna Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 I would so own so many of them except they're so much money. It's not the boning that's hard, it's making both sides exactly the same.
GothicRavenGoddess (3) Posted December 1, 2007 Author Posted December 1, 2007 yeah, i know... lol boning now a days, you can actually sew through, but, its not as great as steal... it misshapes real easily... yeah...
freydis Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Gallery Serpentine. Everything's posted in Australian dollars, though, so remember the conversion goes (at least a little bit) in our favor.
GothicRavenGoddess (3) Posted December 10, 2007 Author Posted December 10, 2007 That was an awesome website, thanks!! Man, if I had the money, the Ensembles were wet-myself-gorgeous!!! I'd wear most of that on a regular basis, if I could... *cries in frustration*
TygerLili Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Gallery Serpentine. Do you think everyone would understand if I was wearing a really nice corset while I was giving them their presents from the dollar store?

Simon Bar Sinister Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 *bump* if any of you were really serious, you would've mentioned: www.cadolle.com ...also, www.decadentdesigns.ca would be worth the roadtrip - and the Canadian dollar's down to $.90 US last time I checked, which was 9 days ago, btw..
savageminstrel Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 These are made by the people who have a booth at MiRF if someone has already posted this link, then just ignore it..lol http://renaissancefashions.com/Scripts/default.asp
Desire Perishes Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Do you know where I could get Victorian Gothic chokers in or around the Detroit Area? Are there any jewelry stores anyone can recommend that aren't outrageously expensive? Thanks!

Sturty Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Pink Label Corsets Free custom sizing and great custom work too. they're expanding too so its not just corsets anymore
jynxxxedangel Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Ooooh..WANT: Two-tone closed front pocketed corset I would be interested in seeing how the seams are sewn around the boning on these corsets. I don't know about you other ladies, but that's where mine always blow out. This corset is SO "me" in the pink and black (my trademark colours), don't y'all think? I think I'd go for the upgraded, 24 bone with privacy panel model. Very nice corset site, Sturty.

Thank alot, the site is a labor of love I know the designers a few years ago had a time working on the seams. Blown seams are not good to have... there are several methods to the seams and its the one thing that makes or breaks a corset. Thankfully its not something I personally have to do, the designers and seamstresses handle that part of it... I get the joyous job of boning and grommet setting. It seems they are rolled and stitched on each side of the pockets, but I can't say for certain. I LOVE the two tone corsets. I love it when we get an order for a totally surprising combination of colors or fabrics. We sent out a two tone zebra print and black PVC that was totally awesome.

I've had the grommets blow out on cheap corsets, as they aren't constructed with steel lacing bones (some don't have lacing bones at all)! Terrible design flaw, any corset which is made without steel! And also, how strong are the hooks on your busks? I've had the little hooks pop right off their weld points. I'm assuming you use plastic-coated spring steel. As you can tell, I am very interested in Pink Label's products. This is the best site I've seen in some time.
StormKnight (1) Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 http://www.ivyscustomcorsetry.com/ Met this group over the weekend. Beautiful work. She had a corset done with Victorian lace that was incredible. After lacing someone into one of her underbust pieces, I could appreciate the design. And yes, as a guy, I have limited exposure to corests, but I like to think I have a bit more than the average. No, Tszura. I am not posting *that* picture. You really think I would let that public that for free? Come on! lol
