Around here someplace......its not mine. Not one on in the house. I just put some 12 dollar speaks into my puter so I can listen better and I turn it all the way up and I am getting a radio real quiet....playing some r/b shit. Weird. I am on comcast cable. If I play anything I can't hear it...or when I turn it down.....wtf? :alien:

This happens all the time with speakers, it happened with my computer speakers and it's happened on two separate stereos. Freakishly enough, it also picked up R & B, possibly because we both live in Clinton Township?

Your speakers are possesed by an R&B poltergeist!!!! :help::shock:

Some wires in the setup are acting as antennae for nearby radio signals and amplifying it enough to be heard through the speakers.

It's a really creepy effect and actually spurred some fun stories (possibly urban legends) in the 70s and 80s about people who could pick up radio broadcasts on their dental appliances and braces. One of my favorite short stories from that era was about a boy who got radio signals on his braces from extra terrestrials (the fat men) who had come to eat the entire world's supply of sugar foods.

And even a reply to that story about how he later thwarted them again when they were pretending to be elephants to get peanuts.

Naw, I think it's just the government keeping tabs on you, or possibly one of their maniacal experiments. Quick, put some tin foil on your head. :fear:

I have Roland monitors. They go nuts when my cell phone gets a call or when I'm on it around them.

Yes yes, although what Amerist said was probably accurate, you may want to pick up some Reynold's Wrap if you don't have any. You know...just in case. :alien:

Something nearby is broadcasting... like one of those gizmos that transfers your ipod output to your car stereo.

This happened to me once. I was running my black stratocaster through a Digitech Metal Master pedal, and the amp was faintly picking up pastor giving a sermon, thankfully I was able to easily drown that out.

Grooooovy... like that Jimi Hendrix Isle of Wight show where the stack suddenly starts picking up the security team communications!
