Ledger was a good choice..... because of where this movie falls in the 'timeline', they needed someone relatively younger than Buscemi or Keaton.....

I think he was pretty CLASSIC as the Joker, but I agree that someone else could have done better.

anyway I am so excited about this movie ^_^ the joker is my favorite character of all time. I'm not expecting much because I don't want to be disappointed but I am still pretty excited.

How can you hate Jack as "The Joker"? I heard a rumor that he wanted to come back, but only if Keaton would come back as Batman.

I really hate the make-up job. I really hope the acting doesn't suck.

Because he was just awful. There was something really off on his portrayal of the joker and it really sucked. That was not the joker I love so very much.
