Daevion Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 I'm looking for a program to DL thats preferably free, and reasonly light on the file size. I do have photoshop on my home pc, but I need something to use at work. Any suggestions? I did find something called "Irfanview 3.95", free on dowloads.com, not sure if its any good though.
Ginevra Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 I use Paint Shop Pro when I can. It does have a shareware usage built in. You get 60 days. I've used the full program in the past and I have had absolutely no complaints with it although I'm probably gonna get shot down by the Photoshop folks. heh Not quite what you're looking for but perhaps it's enough of a fix for now?

Daniel Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 http://gimp.org/ Gimp is sort of like PS, but it is open source.
TomCat Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 Yeah, I really need good software to shore up my digital photography, moreso for the softening & border enhancing effects than anything else. Plain ole red-eye reduction just doesn't cut it anymore!
Scary Guy Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 http://www.eecs.wsu.edu/paint.net/ Also like photoshop but free. Either Gimp or Paint.net are good. I'm not sure but I'm assuming it needs the .NET runtimes downloadable from microsofts site (paint.net, not GIMP).

Apparently I can't install programs on my current work PC. Hmm...maybe I can bribe one of the admins to enable poweruser or admin for me.
