That's exactly why i did it. I think that if staying at the leland for a night means that we don't get hit by another drunk driver, or pulled over by a detroit cop, I'm down.

Besides, detroit is going to be INSANE with the Cherry Poppin' Daddies at the MGM Grand.

New Years 2006 at CC was a horrible experience that I do not want to repeat. So we stayed home for New Years 2007, which was suck in it's own way.

This year, we will be there, in style. I will be wasted, Jon will be 100% sober - guaranteed. So we will be safe, happy, and festive.

Figures I'm on the schedule for New Year's. Granted, it'll be overtime on top of holiday pay, but I haven't hung out with yourself & Raven in an eternity. I'll give you a call if, by some freak miracle, I end up not having to work. I just got a fifth of sambucca for christmas, and this would be ideal for it.

Oh well, I've generally observed in the past that if New Years' Eve/my birthday sucks I'm going to have a good year, and vice versa.

Don't know why people slag off the Leland so much... I love the place. I think they like me tho, 'cos I never get dirty rooms like I've heard people complain about. Although the one with all the moths was kind'a weird.

We will be attending either a huge crazy lifestyle party here in town, or a small intimate one in Flint... depending on whether the Flint people get things together or not.
