Fierce Critter Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 And we were not able to find him. This is just one occurrence which has made this, by far, the absolute worst Christmas in my history. It is about the worst thing, though certain other things I'm not at privy to discuss are possibly even worse, still wait and see on that. But OMG, I want Oakley home. I'm just too wiped out from everything to share everything. We went to see I Am Legend today. I had no clue he had a German Shepherd in the film. I couldn't concentrate on the film because I spent the entire time trying not to cry. I did finally lose it, and wept out loud, in a nearly full theater. The guy next to me gave me a handful of napkins. I need a roomful of napkins.
Onyx Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 Ack. Wish I had known you were going to go see that and I would have warned you - not a good film to watch if the least bit depressed. (((hugs))) I hope he makes it home very very soon.
hunhee Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 OMG I thought I lost my cat for a hot second a few weeks back (I left the door open) and I almost freaked OUT.. I could only imagine what I would have gone through if I really did lose him (he was in the back yard hanging around). I feel for your loss and hope that he comes home :(
Steven Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 I'm sorry camille....I lost Ollie for three hours on Saturday (still dont know how he got out of the yard) and I was freaking out, drove all over town for hours till myneighbor found Ollie and came and got me. Dogs are dogs, they do that stuff but its scary.
TygerLili Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 Sorry, hun. Hopefully he'll come back soon.
Destroit Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 Awww poor kitteh I hope yer little dood comes back safe and soon. Yeah, I Am Legend was so depressing with the dog thing, I started tearing up while watching it with two guys. Needless to say I was promptly made fun of, but that shit reminded me of when a pet that was near and dear to me died last year, it pretty much happened like that.

Fierce Critter Posted December 26, 2007 Author Posted December 26, 2007 if it helps my dad was dog sitting my lab and huskiethey got out of his yard on the north side of lp cicotte an frank.... animal control found my dogs at lake erie metropark in gibralter that same day Wow. That's something else. I've called Wyandotte, Southgate, Riverview, Trenton/Woodhaven, Lincoln Park/Allen Park shelters and left messages. Oakley ran out once before. The gate had been slightly ajar and he saw rabbits and took off. That time, it took about a half hour of searching and we found him about 5 blocks north of us. He's so friendly. I'm sure someone took him in. I just want him back. I have flyers with his picture all over. I am still sick, and going through some shit that has me exhausted to the point of near collapse physically, mentally and emotionally. I need to put together a flyer and take it around to the vets in the area, or spend a few hours calling all of them and leaving messages in case someone brings him in as their own. I am just not up to it right now.
