Can't Find Spanx! Help!

Have you seen them anywhere in the downriver area?

Lane Bryant doesn't carry the fishnets. And I need a pair before Monday.

I know Torrid carries them in larger sizes, but the nearest Torrid's are both 40-50 miles away.

I think the nearest one is in the same vicinity as a Torrid.

I'm downriver. It's amazing we have a Macy's.

Which I have been tryign to call. Their intimates department isn't picking up.

I don't recall seeing them at Macy's when I was in that dept at the end of November. I did see them at Nordstrom's, Lord & Taylor and at a Lane Bryant when shopping for a birthday gift for my mom. All of those stores were up here though.

Just got off the phone with Macy's. No go.

Lane Bryant carries Spanx. But not the fishnets. I've purchased Lane Bryand's fishnets before, and they were horrible. Fell apart like they were made of cobweb.

If I don't find them nearby by Monday, I'll probably make the hike out to Lakeside in Sterling Heights. Even though I hate that mall.

There might be someplace in Ann Arbor, I'd rather go there actually.

I don't like spanx (owned 3 pair and all 3 ripped within minutes of putting them on) so I can't help you there. But if you do end up trekking to Ann Arbor, fantasy attic on packard has plus size fishnets. Lovers Lane too.

worst case if you decide on a cheap pair and can't find any, let me know....I have like 3-4 pair of fishnets I bought at Spirit Halloween stores...and I'd be willing to part with them for a fellow DGNer...I'm downriver too....

That really surprises me. I've had my "now the torn/oldskool punk look" pair for easily 6 years, and the only holes in them are ones that I either put in them, or tore outright via some nailhead sticking out of a CC bench.

I bought my last pair off eBay for $6.00. I hate having to spend $26.00 on a pair, but they do last for me.

I have non-Spanx fishnets. It's just that the Spanx work so great on a plus-sized body. With the solid upper panel, I don't have to worry about doing macrame between my thighs when I dance.

Not to mention, despite Saechalyn's problem, I've never put a finger through them or torn them when drunkenly trying to take a pee at CC while juggling layers of leather corset, tights, panties, Tutu & skirt.

Yeah it's weird. I bought them because everybody and their grandmother was raving about them, then they ripped. I thought maybe that was a fluke but then it happened 2 more times, so I said nuts to this.

I agree that lane bryant's fishnets fall apart like whoa. I've had good luck with the plain old hot topic ones or, if I have the money, fredericks of hollywood.

I've called Lane Bryant, Von Maur, Macy's, and Catherines. None of them carry the fishnets.

Looks like a trip to Sterling Heights, Auburn Hills or Toledo is in the works for Sunday if I don't track down my old pair. And the chances of that are next to nothing.

Actually Marshall's has some nice tights and fishnets. I usually go for cheap ones from the beauty supply shop but when i want a good pair i go to marshals. They have calvin klien and dkny. I think they are about six dollars. I hope you find some...i know what its like searching for things and not being able to find them after going to a million stores.

Chico's carries them.. haven't seen the fishnets there tho. Also try google'ing them.. is that a word???

That made me giggle. ... and to think I actually miss that struggle, heh heh. One of these days I will get back there again.
