Msterbeau Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 Read some of the samples. Especially the one about Leona Helmsley and Brooke Astor http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.p...toryId=17821504
Troy Spiral (13) Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Mrs Helmsley, though fun to her friends, was arrogance personified: "Rhymes with rich," was Newsweek's caption for her portrait on its cover. "We don't pay taxes," she was said to have told a housekeeper once; "only the little people pay taxes." Nice. The magazine she writes for (The Economist) is extremely good (not particularly relevant to the OP though)
the eternal Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Fascinating! I love how interesting her obits are. They make you want to become famous and die.
Msterbeau Posted January 5, 2008 Author Posted January 5, 2008 Fascinating! I love how interesting her obits are. They make you want to become famous and die. I heard the story on NPR. Hearing her describe her process was what made me look up the article online.
