Jinx Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Consider this a survey with an honest intent to deliver the winner. My boss asked me tonight. Who would I like to bring to the Necto in 08? This is a much better question for you. You people are my main priority. He said money was was not an issue your interest was. So I pose this question to you. We at the Necto are very grateful for all the support you have given us. What can we do for you? Who can we bring for you're enjoyment? JINX
phee Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Meatbeat Manifesto at Nectos would be fukkin amazing
Fierce Critter Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Gimme old skool. Peter Murphy. Bauhaus. Love & Rockets. All the related groups/bands/individuals. Psychedelic Furs.
Destroit Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Skinny Puppy, and good luck with that If you arranged it so that I could meet Ogre in person, I'd go to Necto every Monday for the rest of my life and buy no less than two drinks
Necromanta Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 I agree with Chernobyl. SP would be sweet.
wilhelm k Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Gimme old skool. Peter Murphy. Bauhaus. Love & Rockets. All the related groups/bands/individuals. Psychedelic Furs. Bauhaus are supposed to be touring this year.
CandyQuackenbush Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Siegemachine! ;o) Joking! You know you want to play at Nectos.....
nilhil_glory Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 i wouldnt pit necto as the place to bring in old schooler bands such as bauhaus type stuff the kids at necto are more over kids the better soundsystem +the fact that kids like the harsher stuff is why the stuff there is more stompy but i know detroit isnt in the likes for harsh stuff such as c/a/t and caustic i think it would be cool personally for amduscia and or hocico to come in they would both be outstanding performance acts let alone musical groups
bav Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Bauhaus are supposed to be touring this year. Bauhaus is releasing a new album but is not touring to support it.
DJ Nocker Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 I agree that bauhaus would be AWESOME but the chances of the necto bringing in old school people like that are slim to nill. I have only herd the necto play one song by them and only as the last song or there "joke" song. something more EBM like would be what necto would g=bring, so skinny puppy is more reasonable then bauhaus. doubt that as well though, so..... they will probably end up getting andy from combi or the guys from rotersand or something that is played every week that people will know... also it would be cool to get caustic but noise at necto is just as obscure as goth rock.
DJDeadbeat Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Bauhaus are supposed to be touring this year. No they aren't, sadly. They aren't going to tour to support their new album. They broke up FOR GOOD now. I think its their time.

You're right. I don't visit Necto, or really go out much because there are no goth clubs in Michigan. And the chance of me starting one again are slim.
