DJ Nocker Posted January 18, 2008 Author Posted January 18, 2008 Then you might want to look up the new Romero film... Diary of the Dead. I cant wait for Diary! its going to be amazing, romero never upsets. Me and my GF named one of our sugar gliders after him (the other named after clive barker)
bav Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 If you're a zombie enthusiast, I really have to advise you to run-don't-walk and pick up a copy of Max Brooks' World War Z. Great tale of how humanity deals with a Class 4 Outbreak.
Head Wreck Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 after finishing of a custom L119A1 i intend to do something with one of these
Head Wreck Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 theres also a screenplay being written up by the Babylon 5 guy also. so wait and see i gues
bav Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 Yea, they tapped Straczinski for the screenplay. When I first heard about it, I had a nerdgasm at work, I was so happy. Then I found out that the book was optioned before it was finished being written and JMS has been working on the screenplay for a while now. I'm tentatively filing the idea of a World War Z movie in the same place that the Neuromancer, Watchmen, and Death: The High Cost of Living movie ideas are, which is I'll be happy if/when it comes out but I'm not going to get my hopes up too soon. Aside from JMS and the movie, I still have to pimp the book to anyone that might like it. To steal from Phee: I read World War Z once....it was great. BTW, Head Wreck - the pictures of the Zombie Killer make me very sad. /undead-rights activist
Head Wreck Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 heh. i spent an evening ranting about zombies rights 3rd from left lecturing a livving person about having respect for the dead as i was mercilessly shot in the stomach while mooching my way home after a days office work

Great tale of how humanity deals with a Class 4 Outbreak. read it a year and a half ago. it was pretty cool. Im more for movies than books though.
Destroit Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 I love zombies so much that at any given time I keep at least three or four of them kicking around in my basement. I put a muzzle over their faces and we all group cuddle like this: (I'm the blue one) Strangely enough though, when I go to hug all they seem to do is thrash about as if on fire and try to chomp through the muzzle, even though that would be impossible. Silly zombies! They're just downright crazy sometimes, I swear!
Gaf The Horse With Tears Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 So, when I'm in a playfull mood... and nothing sounds better than hearing my wife's giggling yet freaked out voice saying "Damnit Mark! Stop it!!!" I stand up and slowly shuffles toward her... droning "brainnnnnssss BRAInnnnssss" and my boys... start doing it too.... so she runs away and wont let us near her... but we plod along... "brainnnnnssss BRAInnnnssss" and then we all cling to her and sofly bit her on the head... good times
jadnifer Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Im not too terribly big on zombie movie but Land of the Dead was pretty good. I saw it twice in the theater.
predaking Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 i love the movies but i dont like zombies, there is no honor in being a zed!!!
SuZQZ Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Love zombie movies, especially cheesy ones. Just something endearing about them!
DeadBurgerKing (10) Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 OMG, OMG OMG!! I can't believe THIS slipped by me!! Ok, I'm the zombie expert on this board (I know that's rude for me to presume. But, I'm confident enough to say it!! Hehe) Ok, no offense GRG, but SH didn't have zombies in it. As for recommended movies? Original 'Night OTLD', 'Return OTLD','Shaun OTD' and 'Resident Evil'. Movies to AVOID : 'House OTD', 'Night of the Living Dorks' 'RE Extinction' and 'Children OTD' My zombie movie knowledge, though vast, is still growing. But, the best movies (with a few exceptions) were made in the 80's.
DeadBurgerKing (10) Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 shock waves? Yes, 'shock waves'?
Head Wreck Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 its a great film, if extremely low budget, was a regular on my B movie nights i used to throw. a good laugh

Becuase I consider myself the zombie expert, I mean I own 4 versions of night of the living dead alone! and am a member of ZMDB now. (that sight is awesome BTW) but I do agree, the majority of good zombie films were from the 80s
Kit Kat P Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I think I've seen almost every zombie film and had a zombie chick put on my gf's guitar hero
DJ Nocker Posted January 21, 2008 Author Posted January 21, 2008 I think I've seen almost every zombie film and had a zombie chick put on my gf's guitar hero concidering the fact that there are over 3,000 movies that the main subject is zombies...and somewhere around 500 more that just have them in the movie....i doubt it. not to be a jerk, im sure you have seen alot.
