Fool's errand

Black Phasing Tape

When you really need a lot of power to make a machine go.. you used 3 Phase electric. Your standard house hold electricity is either 110 or 220 single phase. That is, it draws power off one point of the generator. 3 Phase takes power off three evenly spaced places around the generator. You have to keep the lines seperate... cause if you hook two phases to the same circuit in the machine... BOOM. Pretty light show. Anyway.. while you are pulling the wire (cable is more like it) you mark the ends with colored electrical tape. Red, Orange yellow and Brown. The fourth cable is ground so you leave it alone. It's called Phasing Tape, but it's just electrical tape just like the black kind everyone is used to.

The joke is to send a noob hand to go get the "black phasing tape". It normally takes up to a half hour for them to realize the black electrical tape they keep tossing aside is what they are looking for.
