CandyQuackenbush Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 This is kind of like the "What are you doing?" and "What are you feeling?" theme. So, what you do is you say what makes you sleep tonight. It can be anything. If you want to post something sexual, just remember the whole TMI stuff. You don't have to start with "This is what makes me sleepie", but feel free if you want to. Lets hear what some people that can sleep at night, or day time, which ever time you sleep, can actually fall asleep! Who know's maybe it would help someone who's got a simular issue. Here, I'll start: What's going to make me sleep tonight is partying, studying, and house stuff done all in one day today. Oh! And feel free to post photos to show how you'll fall asleep, but once again, don't let it be graphic.
Scales Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 What's going to make me sleep tonight is worrying, a fan in the middle of winter, and a large caffeine crash.
Homicidalheathen Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 A good meal and pot and alcohol works for me.
SuZQZ Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I think tonight Benedryl will assist me in falling asleep. Haven't decided yet if that will do it or if I should just go for the Ambien. Will definitely need something.
CandyQuackenbush Posted January 21, 2008 Author Posted January 21, 2008 I think I might tap into another glass of that Witches Brew Wine that Marc got me before our Party back in Dec. Its good because its warm.
creatureofthenyte Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 being all warm and relaxed in bed. If I'm having insomnia issues, pounding a beer sometimes helps. watching a movie...
jadnifer Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 A sleeping pill usually does the trick. Prescribed. I cant sleep without them.
jadnifer Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 A full belly. Or sex. Or both. Those are good ways too!
jane dazzle Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Ambien mixed with xanyx and 2 over the counter sleep aids does it every time
Bernadette Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Working both jobs in a day, plus reading in bed. Boring I know..
CandyQuackenbush Posted January 21, 2008 Author Posted January 21, 2008 A full belly. Or sex. Or both. A full belly of sex? Neat. But I thought girls get that.....
CandyQuackenbush Posted January 21, 2008 Author Posted January 21, 2008 Well I didn't have the wine last night, but I just came down with being uber tired. I will say that to get me to sleep sometimes, it does take a little nightcap. Mostly when I am really really stressed out. I try not to resort to that, but when I do like my relaxation drink, it's normally a glass of wine.
Gaf The Horse With Tears Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Same as every night... meditation and self hypnosis.
Daevion Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 My mind doesn't seem to ever shut off, even when I want it too. Alchohol doesn't help me sleep at all unless I'm passed out. The over the counter sleeping pills only work sometimes. Seems like I never sleep...
xbittergracex Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 My mind doesn't seem to ever shut off, even when I want it too. Alchohol doesn't help me sleep at all unless I'm passed out. The over the counter sleeping pills only work sometimes. Seems like I never sleep... i definitely feel you there. i took lumnesta once...and slept for 27 hours lol it was nice good sleep but you know, try and hold down a job or something....pretty impossible
Hellion Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Boredom, 2 Unisoms,1 shot of Jack Daneil's,a joint, and the boredom will be replaced with sleep Getting up at 3:45 am Mon-Fri,for work also helps.
GOREgeouslyDecorated Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Seroquel... makes me sleep soooo good, but it makes me sleep forever too...
predaking Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 the chance to dream makes me sleep if that makes any sense
Burrich1 Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 I believe I am borderline narcoleptic, so for me, just deciding it is time for me to go to sleep, and having about 30 seconds of putting my mind to it is all I need. Doesn't matter if I am sitting or lying down, or where I am. I should probably get that checked out... *note: except for Sunday nights. Nothing can make me fall asleep on Sunday nights.* edited to add note.

I even used to fall asleep in gym class in the middle of games standing up .
Head Wreck Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 sleeping standing up with your eyes open is something i picked up in university after organising a rock night at a local club then crawling into a gruelling 8 hrs straight in same lecture hall. Daevion, i used to have the same issue, theres methods of meditation to help switch off
