Scales Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 There was a very loud crashing sound, shook the house like crazy, scared the shit out of me. Apparently, from what I've heard from another person, it was heard it different places around the county.. not so sure about that. I guess it will get in the news tomorrow, whatever the heck it was.. EDIT: Finally I found an online article on it. It was a WWII bomb.. http://www.wtol.com/global/story.asp?s=7811157 From what I heard from a friend it happened a few blocks from where I live. It was LOUD. Other counties heard it cause a guy who lives around Devil's Lake told a friend of mine he heard it around 11pm when it went off, and it was loud over there. Eh if I find where it blew I'll take pictures, lol.
Destroit Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Crazy! What county do you even live in? When you find out what it was, don't forget to let us know about it.
SuZQZ Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 FINALLY, I found an online article.. it's about time. Will you post a link to the article, please? I didn't hear it, but I am curious?
Scales Posted February 2, 2008 Author Posted February 2, 2008 I found the roads, now it's just a matter of finding the crater.. lol. Crazy! What county do you even live in? ttogreh Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 Where the hell did a German World War II Bunker Bomb come from?
Head Wreck Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 wtf was that doing there? i'm used to things that go boom. there's a bombing range not far from here and we see all sorts around here from British typhoons, US F15's, and French Dasaults (FOOKIN LOUD PLANES!). every so often someone digs up an UXB here. i just thought that no one, but the Japanese with their weather balloon bombs touched the US home soil
ttogreh Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 Well, there were a few German U-Boat raids along the east coast of the United States, but there certainly were no German bombers any where near the continent, and certainly not a third of the way in...
Scales Posted February 4, 2008 Author Posted February 4, 2008 Here's a better article on it. The whole thing is pretty weird. http://www.lenconnect.com/articles/2008/02...news/news01.txt They crack me up. Groovy.
jadnifer Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Oh, I dont really need this bomb anymore. I think I will dump it in the middle of a township full of people. Then again, they dont know how long it was there. It could have been there since it was made. Who knows.
