So My Mom Got Tattoos...

She had EYELINER TATTOOED ON HER EYELIDS.

All I can think is she must really, really like eyeliner.

Does this sound weird to other people besides me?

Because I think this is very, very weird.

I asked her if it hurt. She said 'Well, it certainly wasn't comfortable'

Okay, she had her EYELIDS tattooed, and her assesment of the pain was 'not comfortable'. That's really not the answer I expected.

She said the reason that she did it is because she can't draw as precise of a line as she used to be able to and she's certain that as she gets older her hands will get more shaky and all I can think is that if it were me, I would just go for the smoky eyelids look from now on.

But no, she had eyeliner TATTOOED onto her eyelids.

I now think my mother is a littlecrazy, and a little badass.

I don't think it's weird.. I know lots of women that had this done and love it.

When I can afford it, I'm getting it done too. This putting on makeup everday

is getting tiresome... maybe I'm just lazy. Either way, I'm all for it. :)

Hm. Interesting.

The only thing I can say is that of the celebrities I know of who have had it done, well, it doesn't look good after a while.

Elizabeth Taylor & Michael Jackson are prime examples.

I am only swayed by her argument that she won't be able to keep a steady hand in coming years. That does make sense. But from what I've seen of how these tattoos fade & blend into the skin, she's going to eventually have that smoky look whether she wants it or not.

I don't think it's weird, people have been doing this for years. And it's not just eyeliner, you can get lipstick, blush, eyebrows, pretty much any make-up look tattooed on.

Would I ever do it? No! I like to change up my make-up look every day, with different colors and styles. In fact I usually don't even wear make-up for everyday purposes. The only thing I wear regularly is blemish concealer, which would not work with this concept.

Besides, as you get older the skin around the eyes stretches and wrinkles, so as FC mentioned, the line is going to look uneven after a while anyway.

I fully plan to have my eyebrows done as soon as I find someone who won't fuck it up. I mean, why not? How many morons get the Grim Reaper on their backs and are so damned proud of it?

I thought about getting that done - I'm actually really wanting to get my eyebrows tattooed ;-)

Again, because no matter how talented the tattoo artist, ANY tattoo fades and blurs over time, and requires touchups.

Not to mention, don't we ladies get bored with our appearance and do stuff like change our hair color, make-up schemes, etc? I'm wearing black & red hair now, which requires a darker charcoal shade added to my brows. But when/if I go back to blonde, once again I'll be touching up my brows with browns.

Just sayin'.

My mom has both her eyeliner and lipliner done, because her hands are too shaky in the morning. She has had to have it redone twice. You have to redo it something like every year or so because the skin it was tattooed on is older and because you can't go very deep on an eye. Also, she refuses to call it tattooing, it's permanent make-up. Either way, no thank you.

OI!! What's wrong with the Grim Reaper across your back?

*grumbles* I guess it's back to the "Angry Cock" Tattoo idea again...

I would have them done in a relatively light shade. Of BLACK.

j/k. I use a light brown shade of pencil no matter what color my hair is. And I know that they gade and blur over time. I've been in the cosmetic industry for far too long NOT to know this. And your makeup color scheme typically has nothing to do with the color of your brows. Trust me. I have been doing so much research. However, I knew who I'd go to in Baltimore. Now tht I'm here, it's like starting all over again.....

No Baby. It's the cock that hangs around your ankle.

I considered it.

Waking up without needing any eye enhancment

no smudges

but its permanent

and trends change

Plus MOST people suck at it. And you end up with a permamess.

NOPE

They do lipstick too.

Wow, I had no idea this was such a popular idea!

And KitKat, my mom's the same way! How funny is that! She's like 'Oh this isn't a tattoo! Don't be ridiculous!' Whatever lady.

Me too but like I said, trends change. The big brow is trying to make a comeback as in Brooke Sheilds style........

Now if you are practially bald........get it done. I know a lady who get a little tweezer happy and they wont grow back now it looks funny without something........I wouldnt' want to wake up like that.

As you age, sigh....gotta love mama nature she is a fucking bitch........anywho......your lips lose pigment.

Yup mine are almost white now and they used to be rosey red. I also love lipliner even though its out of style.

So...I thought about getting my lips done until I discovered silver lipstick. I am sure some of you have seen some of the faces/makeup I do......the alien one......I need pale lips to get the silver just right.

Really, really think about tattoo on the face........

9 yrs ago I never would have thought I would be going out with silver and blue lips but now I do.

One more thing I'd like to add for those considering it. My mom is on her 3rd tattooing (permanent makeup) the second time it was botched both because the girl wasn't very good and because my mom couldn't hold still from the pain and the tears she was pouring out made the woman's hand jar on her cheekbone. Additionally, all 3 times my mom looked like someone beat her pretty good for nearly a week. They actually told her to go home from work cause she looked so bad. I think the finished product can (and in this case, does) look good but weigh it all out first. You won't catch me doing it.

You wouldnt catch me doing it, but each to his own.
