Msterbeau Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 My employer is talking about migrating to Lotus Notes for email, etc. I've used it before. I didn't like it. It's been a while, so I go snooping around to see what the latest Mac release looks like and find some reviews. To my amusement, the commentary is generally along the same lines as what I thought of their product. Here's a good example: "This is right up there with Viruses and spyware coming to the Mac." This is better: "The only thing that could "Ease the Pain" of Lotus Notes users is to delete that program from existence." And this one made me laugh out loud: "At my last job we used Exchange and Outlook. I hated Outlook with the intensity of a thousand suns and was always bitching about how it was the worst steaming pile app on Earth. That is, until I changed jobs and was shown the utter horror blown straight out of Satan's ass that is Lotus Notes. Even running it on OS X does nothing to mitigate the pain." Anyone else ever have to use it?
pharoh Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Notes isn't that bad, it's just a different format....once you get used to it, it's not that bad.....It's like the whole winders/crapentosh debate
Shade Everdark Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 I use it at work. I don't particularly hate it or like it, it's just thoroughly mediocre.
Nienna Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Oh man! I've only had it at one job but I remember the suckage!!! Oh I remember!!!
Dubh Aingeal Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 I feel sorry for you. And that's coming from an ex IBM employee.
