Has anyone else checked out this contemporary vampire novel?

It's basically a tragic love-story crossed with a vampire thriller somewhat akin to Poppy Z. Brite's style of writing.

Have to admit that I'd not heard of the author before but will definitely be keeping an eye out for his future works.
