Still holding onto her house despite being poor as shit

Still doing the swinger thing and loving it.

Still loves her cats despite the fact that they go outside and get worms.

Still loves her reptiles.

Awww my ears are burning!

Things in Pomba-land are pretty much like Eternal sez. Went through a rough time in late Jan/early Feb when my methadone clinic booted me out on a 2-wk admin detox (without bothering to tell me they were doing it, which I've since confirmed is totally illegal)... thought it maybe wouldn't be too bad since I'd been tapering for over a year & was down to just 20 mg (from 80 originally)... but it was, spent the next few weeks feeling utterly wretched & relying on a stockpile of vicodin & darvocet to make it through work each day. Finally found a doc to rx buprenorphine (new stuff, similar to methadone but better... prolly 'cos it wasn't invented by the Nazis... fewer side effects, easier kick, and best of all not tied to the clinic system) & have spent the past 2 weeks just reveling in feeling NORMAL again. So anyway that was 3 weeks that I wasn't doing ANYTHING but feeling shitty & being afraid.

On a brighter note my Classroom Mini-Menagerie project is thriving. I wanted pets for my classroom but as someone mentioned am poor as shit right now. So after finding a bunny (complete w/cage) for $25 on craigslist, I hit on the idea to post my own ad asking for free or low cost pets with gear. So far we have the Angel the bunny, Sasuke the leopard gecko, Zen the bearded dragon, and an as-yet nameless hamster. Was also offered another rabbit, more hamsters, gerbils, rats, Madagascar hissing cockroaches, and a ball python. Will prolly get the python, too good to pass up, soon as I can come up w/gas $ to get to Alma. The hissing cockroaches were tempting but... hey, I grew up in the big city... just can't get my head around the idea of keeping cockroaches, however exotic, as PETS. So anyway, the kids love it... they're almost all from low-income families and most have never been around animals other than dogs & cats. I hit on the idea of selling school supplies to the other classes to help pay for food & whatnot, so they're getting a little side lesson in entrepreneurship, too. Gonna do it right for next year- apply for a minigrant from Meemic or some helpful foundation, enough for critters and their keep for the whole school year.

Hey, glad to hear all is going well (or mostly well at least!)

And good score on the free pets - I love me some Craigslist. I scored a double stroller for $40 (retail is $120) and sold my old bedroom set for $50. So, $10 in my pocket to burn. Woot!

Apparently, everyone else has been using it for cheap sex and executions for years.

I have a love-hate with it.

Look long enough and score some great music, but you have to get through a page of "High School Musical+Shrek soundtrack 1, 2, 3. Mint condition. ONLY $25!"

Pomba, I didnt want to bring up the methadone thing, out of respect, but it's great everythings the same again, if not better. We'll have to hang sometime again soon.
