Thank you, Brenda. I will try the chamomile tea bags, I think I may even have a couple in the cabinet. As for Amazing Concealer, what brand is that? Or is that the brand name?

Thanks again!

Ooooh I have a question. False eyelashes.. LOVE them but it's always a hit or miss putting the blasted things on. Once in a blue moon I get lucky and get them on perfect but 90% of the time I end up just jacking my eye make up up and pitching them in the trash. Wouldn't have any pointers on getting them on easier.. Or a specific brand that seems to hold better. And what about individual lashes? I've just been buying cheap walmart ones since half the time I end up trashing them, but I'd be willing to pay some extra cash if there is a specific type/brand out there that seem to hold up better and apply easier.. Anyways any info would be appreciated..

Frankly, I loathe appling falsies! Therefore, I buy MAC #20 lashes. It's a half-strip. However, you can cut up any strip. Also, buy the glue that dries to black. It's Duo in Dark Tone, and you can find it for about $8 at Walgreens.

Individuals are a bitch. Get the #20s.

Thanks I'll look into it.. And heh I didn't even know they had glue that dried black... Nifty Nifty Nifty..

One more for ya. I'm thinking of drastically changing my hair and wondering if I'll need to do makeup on a regular basis or tone it down after the cut.

I'm thinking of doing a high A-line to the bottom of my jaw w/ a perm and then a some variation of a red dye. I haven't done anything too daring w/ my hair since the divorce and I'm getting bored w/ it. But I'm not sure I want to get in over my head and then start looking for work.

Ooh! I used to have that cut, and am thinking about growing my hair back so that I can do it again. And, my daughter has it. It's SO cute!! You don't HAVE to do makeup on a regular basis, but you may find that you'll want to! Every time I change my hair, I do it more so. It's fun!!

Why a perm, though? If you're perming AND coloring, you're opening yourself up to the total destruction of your hair, and it's a real self-esteem wrecker. I haven't had a perm for 20 years. (Gah!!! 20????) The last time I had one, we used the same rollers and brand of perm, and you might as well have stuck a penis and some balls to the top of my head, because it looked like a raging set of untrimmed pubes. JUST in time for my sister's wedding!!

You're not getting in over your head. You're just making your head look swanktastic,

I've actually been getting perms about once a year since I was 16. They tend to look more natural on me than my straight hair and I try not to go w/ the poodle dog tight curls. But your right I'll start w/ the perm before the cut so that I can rinse it out if it doesn't work. And I only ever do a dye deposit, I've never bleached my hair so it is still pretty healthy after everything is done.

LOL....I was always pretty lucky with perms as well. But, approximately every 7 years, our chemistry does a complete 360. I hope that what happened to my hair NEVER happens to anyone else's!

As a few of you may know, I used to be the moderator for this very forum. Some of you may also know that I'm a makeup artist and have been in the beauty/cosmetic industry for over 23 years. I have worked for lines such as BeneFit, Dior, MAC, Smashbox, Bare Escentuals, and now am the Counter Manager for Origins in Macy's at 12 Oaks (the #1 highest-producing Origins counter in MI).

Not to sound cocky, but I have a huge wealth of knowledge when it comes to makeup, skincare, and nail care. I'm inviting you all to ask the questions that you need answered in these areas. I will answer you truthfully and guide you in the proper direction.

So, ask away. Hopefully, I'll have the answers that you need!

Why does my 'the crow" makeup that I put on from lip/eye crayon or black lipstick that I wear itch when I put it on?

Either you're developing an allergy or your skin is telling you that you're too old to keep dressing like The Crow.

I went tried the Bare line in Fresno this weekend and both my gf and I really like it. One thing I did find is that I'm going to have to moisturizer before applying since it seemed to accentuate the dry and very oily spots. I'll probably be buying the line next weekend when I'm back near a Sephora store and then combine it w/ the philosophy line. But I will say it gave very nice look and you really couldn't tell that I was wearing any make-up and after about 5 minutes I couldn't even feel it, very nice.

Unfortunately, it's something you may continue to struggle with. It might not just "go away," unless you do something topically to care for your skin condition. Murad has supplements that'll help get rid of it, though. It's had a lot of high ratings. It's called "Pure Skin Clarifying Supplement." You should really give it a try.

YES! I have a question!!!!

I have "gel nails".....

I had them done YESTERDAY.

ONE broke or rather is cracked already.....I smashed it in my desk drawer....owchie!

is there anything I can do to salvage it without re-doing the whole nail all over again?

Okay, I have questions.....

1. Where did you get them done?

2. What did they use?

3. Did they have an odor?

4. Did they cure them with a UV light?

Depending on where you went, they should repair it for free. Depending on where it broke, they may not have to replace it.

I'm going to address this one.....

The was only one Brandon Lee. Only Brandon can be "The Crow." Now that Brandon is deceased, NO ONE CAN BE "THE CROW." He looked hot as "The Crow." Everyone else thinks that they're so cool-looking with that face paint on THEIR faces, but I have news for you: NO. NO, no, no. Black eyeliner is sexy on almost any man.

Making yourself up as "The Crow" is not. Unless you are Brandon Lee. Which you boys are not. Brandon was in his 20's, so he was hot. In your 30's and so on with all those creases is NOT the time to try too look like "The Crow." So don't do it. Just line around your eyes and leave the Crow shit alone.
