ttogreh Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 And not a snowflake in sight... I hope Dubai drivers take this into account, and I hope Dubai motor authorities become more diligent to enforce basic safety rules...
Msterbeau Posted March 11, 2008 Author Posted March 11, 2008 And not a snowflake in sight... I hope Dubai drivers take this into account, and I hope Dubai motor authorities become more diligent to enforce basic safety rules... It happens here... it happens everywhere. People often turn into idiots in adverse weather. They (To some degree or another) get taught that in slippery conditions or poor visibility... SLOW DOWN!! Some do... some don't... and this is what happens when they don't.

Only 5 dead out of a 200 car pile up is actually pretty good, and shows great responses on their part.
Msterbeau Posted March 12, 2008 Author Posted March 12, 2008 Actually it says it was only a 60 car pileup. I linked from Autoblog and their headline was 200... :-P
Rayne Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Actually it says it was only a 60 car pileup. If you look through the pictures (and according to other sites) it says there was actually about 200 cars involved, but only 60 in the actual "pile-up".
TomCat Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Try working with a road crew in Dearborn...you'll be lucky to last three days without getting flattened by an immigrant. Seriously, I think Michigan Driver's licenses are given away in their version of Lucky Charms, (just insert your photo here...), which they eat on the plane over here! LOL
jadnifer Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 In such a horrible accident, it's a very good statistic that only 5 people died. It could have been a LOT worse.
