Homicidalheathen Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Aw he is so cute. I am sorry to hear this. I wanted to post some pics of him. I am going to miss him a lot and i have been trying not to cry all day. Here are some pics of him
CandyQuackenbush Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 *hugs and tissues* Hope you had the best years with your kitty. I hate it when I have to loose a pet. You have my sympathy.
littlepinkkitty Posted March 17, 2008 Author Posted March 17, 2008 The hardest thing for me to think about is not being able to just have him be there. I love how he would curl up and sleep on my bed. When i was younger and would have slumber parties he would pop out in the middle of the night and attack my friends. He's been declawed so he wouldn't hurt them. He would scare the hell out of my friends because he would do it in the dark. This may sound crazy but i think he has a sense of humor. Thanks everyone for your kind words.
Msterbeau Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 The cats I had always had strong personalities. Even if they were a bit aloof at times, they could always be counted on to come snuggle at just the right time. Even though they aren't human, when you spend a significant amount of time with one, you grow attached, and when it's time for them to leave this world, it's like a part of you leaves too. I still can 't believe I got 20 years with my oldest one before I had to put her to sleep. Your cat is lucky to have had such a caring and understanding person to take care of him.
creatureofthenyte Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 I was at where you are now, back in January of 2005. I had to have my 21 yr old cat put down due to health reasons. I'm sorry to hear about this...
Fierce Critter Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 This ALWAYS sucks. I've been there, and I don't look forward to going through it again with any of my 12. I'm so sorry.
GothicRavenGoddess (3) Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 I too know what this is like... My cats were like my children. I am so sorry that you had to do this... and I hope you find love and comfort in his memories... If you don't mind my asking, but what was wrong with him? Again, I am so sorry for your loss... it never gets easy, no matter how many fur-babies you have..... *HUGS*
Miranda Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 I've also gone through this twice with my cats so I know what you feel. I am so very sorry. Words can't describe what you feel when you have to go through this situation. You are in my thoughts. *hugs*
freydis Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 *hugs* It's awful losing our furry best friends....
EnViOuSPoPpEt Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 :grouphug :grouphug :grouphug :grouphug :grouphug I'm very sorry to hear that. I know that no matter how many other kitties pass trough in your life no one is going to replace him. This is one part of my job that I can't stand and brings me to tears... Make sure that the Vet that you see is compassionate some of these doctors and staff don't have a heart.
TygerLili Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 Awww...One of the hardest things I've had to do was have my cat put to sleep. Sorry to hear about your loss.
littlepinkkitty Posted March 19, 2008 Author Posted March 19, 2008 My mom has shkunkers right now. And he is sick. At first she said she is putting him to sleep. And now she wants to give him to a friend. So she is deciding. He belongs to both of us technically. We are moving and he cant come to where i am. I thought that in a way if he went to kitty heaven he wouldnt be in pain anymore. He has digestive problems and cries when he goes to the bathroom. As much as i love him i dont want him to hurt anymore. I also dont know which friend is taking him and if he will he ok. He's old and sick and i my mom told me a million times that he needed to be put down. I just dont want him to be in pain. The whole thing is really getting to me. So what is the right thing to do? I feel like i have already accepted that he's dying. I can't go to the vet if she decides to put him to sleep. I want him to be a happy kitty and not be in pain but at the same time i feel like of i told my mom i think we should put him to sleep i would be killing him. If he stays alive he will be in pain. I have no oidea what to tell my mom to do. I just want shkunkers to be happy and comfortable.

I have no oidea what to tell my mom to do. I just want shkunkers to be happy and comfortable. we just a few weeks ago had the same problem my bfs mom kept this dog around YEARS longer than she shuld have. The poor thing couldn't even walk but she didn't want to kill it. Well eventually she got really bad and my bf's mom relized that keeping her around was really hurting her...I think if your poor kitty is in pain and/or has health issues your not killing it so much as putting it out of its misery. I know its hard I've had to go through it with 3 dogs of my own and my bfs...it's sad but sometimes it's just whats best for you furry friends. I hope this may help...::hugs:: I'm sorry to hear about your kitty
Guest Megalicious Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 It's hard to lose fuzzy children =( I'm so sorry.
