JaneDead Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 to all you tree hugging hippies out there like me
JaneDead Posted April 22, 2005 Author Posted April 22, 2005 even though today is not the REAL earth day... http://www.earthsite.org/real-ed.htm *Earth Day, the original, has always been on the March Equinox -- an occasion when night and day are equal in both Northern and Southern Hemispheres. This event is simultaneous world-wide, which means the local time will be different in each time zone. And in some cases, in relation to the other side of the Earth, it will be the next day.
Lilith Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 Those old John Denver Plant A Tree commercials come to mind............ lilith
Soulrev Posted April 23, 2005 Posted April 23, 2005 figures that earth day is 2 days after the cloudiest holiday of the year. Lol.

The_Dark Posted April 23, 2005 Posted April 23, 2005 I'll be sure to cut a tree down when I get out of work.
Jarodaka Posted April 24, 2005 Posted April 24, 2005 Yes, happy Earth Day! We have about 3-5" of global warming outside right now.
Brenda Starrr Posted April 24, 2005 Posted April 24, 2005 It's not warm on this part of the globe today. Happy Earth Day, anyway!
Daevion Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 This planet has existed long before the blight know as humanity infested its surface, so I'm sure it'll be here long after our bones are dust. I suppose one could argue, why hasten the process and be forced to wear spf 3000...I'm all about avoiding this. Not a whole lot can be done while money drives the machine forward, and the ideals of clean air and water are fragments of the forgetten past.
