TitsMcGee Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Ah yes I am also in need of motivation. I want to get down to at least 145 by this time next year, because of all my joint problems from so many years of sports. And I kinda want to look better than my sister at her wedding lol. Any tips or ideas for me?
Rev.Reverence Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 I've dug out an old ass pic of me, pre-pudge, and it reminds me to do sit ups... I gotta do that...NOW.. later.. Still doin' it up...
Guest greyhalo Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 My problem is that I work A LOT and sit on my butt a good portion of that time. By the time I get home, it's late, and I don't feel like doing anything. I should try HH's tactic though. I used to keep a picture of Kate Moss on my fridge about 10 years ago. I also weighed around 112 lbs. then.

I think a picture of someone that thin would motivate me to eat more. If you're looking for inspiration, at least pick somebody who's thin, not invisible.

I'm small-boned, so I used to be able to pull it off when I was younger.
GothicRavenGoddess (3) Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 my motivation for losing weight is becuase of the fact that I HAVE to limit my carb intake, otherwise my body creates too much insulin, thus throwing my hormones off balance. If I lose weight as a result of that, then so be it. I don't want to get skinny, i want to get healthy. but at the rate that I am losing, I'll be a skinny mini this coming summer.. i just hope i don't get too small, and I have a little wub. lol also, I am going to be doing LOTS of tummy exercises so that the flabby skin will start to tighten up. I have been the same size for so long that now that my tummy is getting smaller the skin is getting lose. but I am young, so i have no doubt that it will shrink up. I love my body at the size I am. I may be over 200 lbs, but I don't look it... but I know its not healthy, internally... so yeah.. I'm kinda glad I was diagnosed with this syndrom (the PCOS) it made me more aware of my own body. so... i guess my modivation is me wanting kids one day, because as it stands PCOS has made me infertile. BUT with all that I am doing to get better, including watching what I eat, I WILL be able to be a mommy, one day in the future.

I'm telling ya, get a kettlebell. I can e-mail you a training video. 45 minutes 1-2 days a week ... you'll be thinner, stronger, healthier, happier, and more energetic. Go to Dick's Sporting Goods and do some military presses to see what weight you can handle.

Right here.. Feel free to PM me if you like any advice..
Guest greyhalo Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Work out in the morning? I'm lazy and hate mornings. I just need to start using my eliptical machine again. I enjoy dancing too. When I used to go clubbing a few times a week, I was in better shape too.
Head Wreck Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 WOOHOOO! i just had a poke at the new onsite Gym at work. downpoint is its going to cost £18 a month not £18 a year but that still beats £30-£40 a month facilities are a lot better and its actually staffed now (no more bits going missing!)

The thing about going clubbing and dancing is that you need to watch intake of beer or other drinks with significant calories.
