I Heart Ulta!

So I finally made time to visit Ulta on one of my rare visits to the big city. DAYYUM!! What a marvelous store. Being able to find and test Iman powders & potions would be enough to keep me coming back all by itself... the two-for-one deal on HiP stuff was icing on the cake. Being able to shop high-end and drugstore lines in the same place is like a gift from the gods of beauty. Not that I can afford all the yummy Urban Decay & Boujois stuff, but now I have a better idea what shades I want so I can look for 'em on eBay. Too cool... wish they'd open one in Lansing. I know the East Lansing/Okemos area could easily support this type of biz. Ai well, for now shopping Ulta will have to remain a Detroit-visit treat like shopping the Gratiot Market and Tradewinds liquor store.

Pomba,

Question.. Have you tried the Bourjois Regard Effet Duochrome eyeliner pencils? They look gorgeous but I am curious If you have used them since Bourjois was mentioned in your post. Thanks.

I heart them, too. Just don't ever work for them. Come see me at the Oakland Benefit counter. THAT'S where the action is.

I haven't... they had some gorgeous eyeliners but not sure if they were that particular style. Couldn't afford any of their stuff anyway, so I really didn't spend too much time looking... just long enough to jot down some color names to look for on eBay!

I've never been but have heard alot about that store. I don't even know where one is around here. It would just be a big tease for me anyway, the only cosmetics my budget can afford is Wet 'N' Wild .

...I remember when I still had eyelids.....and I could wear the cheap stuff and it wouldn't end up under my eyebrows.

Help! My eyelids have fallen and they can't get up!

Dont have a choice in paying for more with the onset of age......and allergies.......well I could just be ugly.

The closest one to you is 23 and Gratiot in Chesterfield Twp.

Actually, that's the cool thing. They carry the upscale brands and the cheap drugstore stuff.

That said, I could easily spend hundreds upon hundreds of dollars at Ulta, or Sephora for that matter.

Yup. Don't remember seeing Wet n Wild, but they did have Prestige, Rimmel, and other drugstore brands in the under $5 range.
