While I think three years for tax evasion is completely uncalled for, I think Snipes should have just paid the damn taxes. Seriously, for the amount of money he made, would he really have missed it?

Yes, the government rapes and pillages us financially, and we need to come up with something better, but in the meantime, taxes pay for things like public schools, fire dept’s, and police. No, theses institutions are not the best that they can be, at times, but they’re better than nothing. The very fact that I can sit here and not have to be completely paranoid 24/7 about someone knocking down my door, raping me, beating me up, and then killing me is due to the fact that I know anarchy does not exist right outside my door. And if someone does try to hurt me, I would hope that if I called the police, there would be at least a 50% chance they would show up, which is better odds than nothing.

Any thoughts?

yeah....you know...last time I heard about a tax evasion case....it turned out that the "defendant's" accountant never filed the shyt...and was skimming off the top....

I know a couple rich buisness owners who did the same thing.

Guess what? They are not so rich anymore lol

Never could understand if when god has 'blessed you' as one of them said to me, he turned into being a crook and ripping of the government......like he thought that was ok.

This guy I know was raised a rich kid and now in his 40's its like he is JUST learning he is NOT priviledged and has to pay just like the rest of us.

For someone who doesn't party he sure is going downhill....lost everything last year and has to work for someone else now which is justice ha ha

(he used to be my/our boss a long time ago and wasn't always fair.)
