I don't know why I often forget to post some of the more obscure things that I do, or are interested in... but I listen to NPR, probably more than I listen to anything else when I'm in the car driving.

Right now, I'm really getting tired of them talking about Clinton/Obama (I care, but COME ON!!! enough is enough).

But anyway.. Tomorrow (May 1st) there are a few movie theaters that are putting on a specialized broadcast at 8:00 p.m.

This is the website.. check it out.. :)

I love TAL.

I was a supporter of 101.9 for years and listened to the Thistle and Shamrock, Blues from the Lowland, all sorts of good stuff on the weekend. Then they switched formats and I haven't listened to them since. :(

I still miss the music.

There's an AA NPR station that I can sometimes get at my house, but not always.

Wow Hunhee, I had no idea TAL branched out into television and now the movies?!!? I Supported Michigan Radio for years, until I got Sirius. They have NPR talk and NPR Now playing 24-7, along with PRI and some other related shows. TAL was always my favorite.

No matter how many times I hear the episode on Fiascos, I end up pulling over because my eyes are watering and my sides are killing me from laughing so hard for 15 minutes straight. It's the one where Ira Glass (the greatest story teller of all time) interviews Jack Hitt about the High School Peter Pan production he witnessed. Amazing stuff.

Back to topic, thanks for the info. Will definitely have to look into I pray it is better than Garrison Keelers Prairie Home Companion movie.

Crap, it's one night only, and isn't playing anywhere on the east side. :rant:

      About to head up to Roseville to return this rental and pick up my truck from the auto shop.  It is supposedly sporting a newly fabricated frame rail...I don't think they are referred to as "chassis" anymore as I see the confusion in shop owner's eyes when they ask me if I'm looking for "body work?".   But I do find it interesting that I told the owner that I worked direct with OEM parts and yet he still wrote me up an invoice with overpriced OEM parts from companies I used to host at the place I used to work for.  With that said, I'm expecting a stellar job for the amount I paid.   ...else, there will be some talk negotiations.

      ~~~~~ Definitely wishing you luck.  Do enjoy yourselves.   But I have to admit, the first thing that came to mind was does roadside assistance reach the desert? 😬
      ~~~~~ Yeah, it's like something happened to my metabolism this past Winter and when I came out of hibernation, that AARP Join Request started looking like something to check into.

      This 👆 definitely goes with what I said in my other post - getting old sucks. Seems like *everything* takes longer and takes more energy out of me than it used to. Really need to work on my diet and exercise, I've found the older I get, the more important those things have really become...
