They are doing another Hulk movie, a Wolverine movie and last I heard, an Iron Fist movie. If they do them well, I am all for it.

1. I get powers.

2. Bad guy gets powers.

3. I overcome emotional hangups.

4. I beat bad guy up with powers.

Nick Fury lacks in super powers. So does batman and the joker and a few other heros that upcoming movies are based on.

I'm not a 'comic' dork, so I don't really care...but WILL enjoy watching them with my boy... YAY, family fun!

That is why I said "powers" not necessarily "super powers". And I will go to see Dark Knight even though it will most likely follow the film formula since these are classic stories that will never grow old. What I am bitching about is that Hollywood seems to think that we need so freakin' many of them.

Gaiman's Sandman, if it is ever filmed, would really break this mold. And Del Toro would be my first choice to see direct it.

"Watchmen", which is certainly coming out, could also... but it is directed by the guy who did "300"... so I am skeptical.

I'd like to see some more non-superhero/underground comics making it to film. Long ago, there was supposed to be a Death: The High Cost of Living movie, but im not so sure how well they'd handle it. I mean hell, look at how badly they flubbed Hellblazer. Seriously, KEANU REEVES as John Constantine? WTF.

Only bad thing about the Punisher movie is someone else is going to play the Punisher. Instead of Thomas Jane, Ray Stevenson is going to play the lead role.
