Hello Everyone!!!

My Name Is Lily, And I Recently Moved To Detroit A Few Months Ago....I'm Originally From El Paso, Tx...I Was Sad To Leave All My Family And Friends Behind, But I Felt Like I Had To Do This On My Own And Experience New Places And Meet New Friends....And I Guess That's Why It Brings ME Here To This Site.

I Met Mr. Troy Spiral Last Saturday, And He Was Very Welcoming Despite The Fact Of Him Being A Little Drunkie LOL As Well As Other People Who Were Very Cool To ME And My Friends....

So, I'm Still Trying To Adjust Here, And I've Been Out A Few Times, But THe Hardest Part is Freaking Finding A Job Here! What Does It Take TO Earn Some Income Here?! Is Just Very Frustrating For ME!

Anyways, Besides Going On A Rampage About Finding Jobs Here, I Do Have Good News....My Best Friend From El Paso is COming Next Weekend yayyyyyyy!!!.....I TOld Her About The CIty CLub and She Is Looking FOrward To A Night Of Drinking And Dancing....

So, Hope To See Some Of You Out There!!!

Lots of Love,

Lily

Hiya!

Drunk? Me? Never!! (yeah right) Glad you made it. :animier:

Now to trick you... er i mean TALK you into throwing your 2 cents in on some of our many topics *points all around* Hopefully we can talk you into sticking around and visiting us often. =)

Glad to hear your trying to make new friends and try new experiences. That is one of the big reasons we started DGN back in the day, to make it easier to meet new people along with creating a friendly atmosphere. I'm sure you'll fit right in.

Hi and Welcome!

I've only been to El Paso once, passing through on a Greyhound bus from Detroit to Los Angeles. So not fun! Oh wait no, I've been there Twice. First time I was with an ex boyfriend. We stopped in Juarez for a couple of hours and it looked like a tornado had hit the mexican city, I guess they were redoing all the streets or something.

How do you like Michigan?

Welcome, always good to meet a newbie.

awwwwwwwwww interesting! as a matter of fact i was born in Juarez, Mexico...moved to the US when i was in the 4th grade, so i was really surprised to hear you've been there!

as far as michigan treating me well,...i love it! having a lot of great experiences here, been to a couple of bars here such as the i-rock, token, club luna, the painted lady, the magic stick, and of course the city club....

just having trouble finding a job here :confused:

well, thank you...i guess i made the right choice in moving to michigan then :peanutbutterjellytime:

Hi There! :fun::welcome:

Also i'd suggest posting in the "whos going?" topic of the Nightlife section for DGN Night at City Club. *pressure* hah

It will make it easier on me when i try to introduce you to the regulars. =P Many people that read this section of the board, go to CC, but many don't. DGN is sort of pan-detroit and theres no direct correlation to CC and DGN particularly.

You might wana switch your profile picture to be your "avatar" so that it shows up next to your posts, if that was the intention. Just a suggestion. =)

      About to head up to Roseville to return this rental and pick up my truck from the auto shop.  It is supposedly sporting a newly fabricated frame rail...I don't think they are referred to as "chassis" anymore as I see the confusion in shop owner's eyes when they ask me if I'm looking for "body work?".   But I do find it interesting that I told the owner that I worked direct with OEM parts and yet he still wrote me up an invoice with overpriced OEM parts from companies I used to host at the place I used to work for.  With that said, I'm expecting a stellar job for the amount I paid.   ...else, there will be some talk negotiations.

      ~~~~~ Definitely wishing you luck.  Do enjoy yourselves.   But I have to admit, the first thing that came to mind was does roadside assistance reach the desert? 😬
      ~~~~~ Yeah, it's like something happened to my metabolism this past Winter and when I came out of hibernation, that AARP Join Request started looking like something to check into.

      This 👆 definitely goes with what I said in my other post - getting old sucks. Seems like *everything* takes longer and takes more energy out of me than it used to. Really need to work on my diet and exercise, I've found the older I get, the more important those things have really become...
