Step Right Up, Step Right Up...

I'm at City Club pretty much every weekend for a month or so, then gone for a month or two, then back again for every weekend as I intentionally moved to within a very short distance of City this year. I'm not that hard to miss. You probably have seen me around as I have recently found out that my nickname at the Leland is "Kitty".

I work as a web developer for quite a number of interesting endeavors, including a few in "the scene" over the years.

Ages ago, I might have wanted to fit into the gothic "scene", but these days I really don't care about labels. My makeup does not crack if I move. Pseudo-military, medical, cyber, Victorian and ren faire elements and influences can usually be found in my sense of style. I'm known for wearing any color so long as it's black to avoid having to match colors.

I personally like synthpop, EBM, industrial and the odd bit of classical music, but I'll listen to just about anything playing in the background. If I'm working on code, there's usually industrial or synthpop on in the background as something about rhythmic, synthetic sound is very appealing to my ears when I'm dealing with lines upon lines of code. Currently my favorite bands are Combichrist, VNV Nation, Modulate, Noisu-FX and Angelspit. I know the Combichrist discography well enough to have conversations with other Combicritters using only quotes and track titles from Combichrist.

I specialize in various sideshow skills including glass eating, spinning staff, walking on broken glass, fire breathing, stilt-walking and a few anatomical wonders. You've probably seen me at the Dirty Show, Hellbound, Pride Fest, Ferndale, etc. I'm putting together a sideshow night at a loft not too far from City in late July. Details will be posted in the promotions board as they become available.

I learned fire eating back in early 2006 as my first skill; to this day, you're more likely to find me in 100% cotton on any given day because I prefer to spend my money on clothes that I can wear during a show and not worry about the fabric melting to my skin. My favorite act to date is the stilts because so few acts can bring in so much positive energy with so little effort for as long as simply standing eight feet tall can.

Well, that's all for now.

Yeah, I don't eat fire all that often any more as it's way too common. However, I am putting together a sideshow in July that could easily turn into a DGN event because some of my main stars are also fairly active on DGN and DGN reaches the people I want to attend my show. I should have final details by the weekend and will be contacting the people in charge at DGN soon to make it a DGN event.

Yep, yep. I remember her vaguely, mostly for her perfectly spooky eyebrows.

I think you might have seen me a bit more recently, but I can't remember either. I'm at City quite often, though I'm currently tied up with some big, cool projects that require a lot of time and money for the next month or so.

My bday was yesterday and it passed easier than the year before. I'm more often mistaken this year for x years younger than x years older than my actual age. One of my weird talents is that I can guess your age to within a year, your weight to within 5 lbs, and your height to within an inch. I don't care if I'm getting old by the standards of people who have retired from the club scene permanently. I'm only young once. When I'm old with gray hair, I'll probably dye it deep purple.

I was thinking I saw you more recently too, but Exotica seems to be the only time I can remember clearly.

I haven't been up to CC in a long while either, mainly due to distance, but I've also been insanely busy as well...But I hope to be up there soon and maybe we can meet up there again!! It'd be awesome to see you again!! You're awesome to talk to!!

I didn't know it was your birthday!!I'll have to start a Happy Birthday thread for you!!

Ooo!! really!! Ok, tell me my stats!! I'm difficult to estimate, no one ever gets my correct age or my weight...my weight is rather difficult though, I do have 4 metal joints that increase my weight, but not as much as most would think. So..gimme your best shot!! :p

The guess the weight, height and age guarantee only applies in person and if I'm within 5 feet of you.

Awwww, but you've seen me on numerous occasions.

Here, maybe these will help?

      About to head up to Roseville to return this rental and pick up my truck from the auto shop.  It is supposedly sporting a newly fabricated frame rail...I don't think they are referred to as "chassis" anymore as I see the confusion in shop owner's eyes when they ask me if I'm looking for "body work?".   But I do find it interesting that I told the owner that I worked direct with OEM parts and yet he still wrote me up an invoice with overpriced OEM parts from companies I used to host at the place I used to work for.  With that said, I'm expecting a stellar job for the amount I paid.   ...else, there will be some talk negotiations.

      ~~~~~ Definitely wishing you luck.  Do enjoy yourselves.   But I have to admit, the first thing that came to mind was does roadside assistance reach the desert? 😬
      ~~~~~ Yeah, it's like something happened to my metabolism this past Winter and when I came out of hibernation, that AARP Join Request started looking like something to check into.

      This 👆 definitely goes with what I said in my other post - getting old sucks. Seems like *everything* takes longer and takes more energy out of me than it used to. Really need to work on my diet and exercise, I've found the older I get, the more important those things have really become...
